You'd never guess from that lovely picture of England's green and pleasant land which lilyalli posted, that Ironbridge is where the Industrial Revolution started, with smelting all along the river. The world's first steam locomotive was built there too ... a predecessor to satguru's train.

Here is the Iron Bridge, over the River Severn - built in 1779 and the world's first cast iron bridge.

Every year we have a night time carnival to raise money for local charities. All the floats are lit by electric light bulbs powered by the floats own generator.

He's watching you, Tredici! Wonderful animal!

This large fountain is in the side yard of a house I often pass on my walks.

There's a whole different world seen from railway lines you normally only get from a train or like this shot from a bridge. Norbiton Station is in the background

Hi,
I've been lurking for a while, catching up and thoroughly enjoying seeing everyone's pictures, but now it's time to start contributing again.

So, here are some peppers at a Bucks County, Pennsylvania farm stand last weekend:

Thanks, Minkpenny! Photo-a-day was the reason I started carrying the camera along wherever I go, and even during my wayward phases of not posting, there's always that nagging thought to keep trying to get "that one you'll want to post!"
