See something through your day that makes your wallet miss a beat?

A couple of weeks ago I spotted this yellow Ferrari making a multi-point turn in a narrow road. Apart from the occasional black, I've never seen a Ferrari with such unusual colour, and definitely prefer the tradional Ferrari red.



It's undoubedly worth more than most people's houses!

This elegant machine was on show at a American car & hot rod show at Worthing West Sussex, I would guess trips to the fuel station are quite expensive.

Not a patch on the car and boat, but this is the most expensive book I own, at a mere £50. I am very fond of it indeed

not sure how this compares with some parts of the world but I thought it was on the dear side .. it's beef mince at $10.39 a kilo. Although it's not as bad as lamb at the moment but at least we don't ahve to buy that.

Anything with this logo is expensive...

This sign leads me to believe that it would be quite expensive to commit a MISCHIEF, at least if one values one's freedom!

Here's a nicely worked and finely decorated piece of glorified firewood.



No, I don't really mean it's glorified firewood, it's actually part of this and is made from African blackwood, silver engraved slides and ferrules and fake ivory mounts.

The chanter (finger-pipe) alone would set you back several hundred pounds sterling, and a whole set costs several thousand.

This is (one of) my husband's set(s). I myself own three sets, two of which are antiques (still in fine working order), and one of which has solid ivory mounts, ferrules and decorative bits. I have no idea what that would cost nowadays, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it's also in the thousands. Between us we have 6 of these lurking around our home.
