MC Shellie, your photo brings back childhood memories! For several years our family holiday started with a long drive from Dublin to Larne or Belfast to catch the ferry over to Stranraer!

Here's a photo from me for today. Taken this morning, I'll leave you to figure out where, but it brings a new meaning to having the whole world in your hands (or in this case, not quite the whole world, just one huge chunk of metal...

The view from the window of the place we stayed in last holidays. It's looking over Tumby Bay. I took 5 separate photos and stitched them together to make this.

This is the church in Whitton, just down the road from the rugby stadium in Twickenham, which has just had a complete new wing added.

We're just into 'tomorrow' here, so I'll post this before retiring for the day.

Another from our visit to Paris this weekend:

That pigeon scared me.

A small temple by the road.

What a scary pigeon!

I was in Delaware for a few days and took only four pictures...

This buggy parked at the Wal-Mart in Dover is unlike any I've seen in Pennsylvania, in the Amish communities around Lancaster or Volant. The small windows and step-in back door make it look a little hearse-like, but it turns out that buggy styles vary regionally, and this one is typical of the Dover, Delaware Amish, and might not be used anywhere else.

Dumb question(s) (and I looked for an answer, honest!):

Are the monthly Photo-A-Day submissions supposed to be photos actually taken during the current month only? That month in any year? Or what? (Feel free to interpret that last question any way you wish.)

Thanks!

Hi Paul, nah, it doesn't have to be a current photo just so long as it is one that you have taken. It was originally created to be that way but I think lots of us realised it's a bit hard to take and post a pic a day.

I love classic California architecture. Here's a Mission Revival/Italianate church in Ft. Bragg.

I don't know if there's a world record for the widest footpath but if anyone's applied I think this would be likely to beat it. I can't think why they'd build one that wide but they have, it's not far from me in Harlesden where I went to take a picture of someone's house they moved from about 30 years ago. I've done quite a few requests including some videos.

I'm sure someone local at the time would know the story of the path, I have quite a few sources I can ask and report back. Nice cat by the way.
Here's a complete contrast, these horses are only about a mile from my house.

The meter on the auto rickshaw I took from work today had a Ganpati (Elephant God) painted on it.
