Everything looks great. Sue, your Christmas cards look professionally made, just wonderful. Jane, I love the wooden spoon smile

Yesterday I was involved in somewhat different craftiness, as I joined about twenty others to prepare hanging baskets to decorate downtown for the Christmas season. We made 120 of these in just under three hours. This is one of my efforts.

Ooh, I like that Santana!

I should be able to take some photos of the baskets once they are on display, yes. I won't be able to recognize my own though, I'm sure.

I saw something like this in an expensive shop which sells handmade cards and it cost £5.99 so I thought that I would make something similar which cost me about 40 pence.

Great creations!
Haven't had time to do much here but am starting to get Christmas cards ready .. probably a bit behind the gun but will get there.

What's everyone doing for Christmas cards or crafts?

I finished all my Christmas cards ages ago, all written, envelopes labelled and stamps applied!

At the moment I am still making some for the Salvation Army in Wales to sell, I send parcels of cards to them for fundraising. I have sent one box and will post off another in the next couple of days as they have their sale on Saturday.

Our Christmas cards are also made, written out and ready for the post next week! laugh

First two - a easel card and a "recycled" Christmas card which was a standard card last year.

Love all your cards, Jane! And Suuuueeee!!! I haven't even begun to think about Christmas yet, let alone make cards for it, I've been too busy filling 'obligation' makes.

I somehow that my recipient list for handmade Christmas cards this year is going to be veeeerrry short!

Several times each year I donate cards to the Salvation Army to sell for charity and a couple of weeks ago I sent two boxes for their sale last weekend. The person who sells the cards told me a very sad story.

She said that a young woman, probably in her twenties, came to her stand and asked if there was a special card which would withstand the weather. Glenys asked what she meant and the girl was in tears as she explained. Her daughter died two months ago and the grave didn't have a headstone yet and it was her birthday the following day so she wanted to place something on the grave for her little daughter. She was advised to put the card in a see through plastic bag.

This is the card which she bought for her daughter, it is A4 in size and decoupaged. I felt, and still feel, very humble that she should use one of my cards in this way.

Your tree decorations are lovely, Jane!!!

Sue, it's so sad for that poor woman, and so lovely to know that your beautiful card will give her some solace and help her through such a difficult time.

I needed to make a Lavender and Lace card for a challenge so using a small amount of lace sent to me by a certain kind lady who lives in Hong Kong I produced this one.

A bit of Arran for a Christmas present waistcoat. I like to get back to knitting when the cold weather starts. It is too hot and humid in Summer here.
