Looking at all these beautiful things makes me want to create, I'll have to think about what to do.

The first one is a decoupage card, of Raymond Briggs "The Snowman", while the other is a recycled Christmas Card (a standard card which someone sent us last year), which I liked the sepia tones. The bronze embossed paper finishs it off.

Two fairly simple cards - the first has a "coat" of embossed paper, the other, seeming it was an embossed card, just needed a small embellishment on it

I am currently making some 'glitzy' Christmas cards. My local garden centre has some gorgeous Christmas ribbons, fairly wide (2.5 inches or just over 6cms), on special offer, two for the price of one and they have standardised the price of a roll (ten yards) to £6 even though some are priced at £10 and some at £6. I have also bought glitter paper/card, metallic card, glittered large snowflakes etc.

This one uses one of the large snowflakes.

No, Sue. Me and Mum do buy some sometimes from craft shops, but I think you sent me that particular paper last year

Ok, we can't take credit for the advent calendars themselves, but we brightened them up with felt and ribbons. All ready to be stuffed with treats for two little somebodies

I am going to break the rules here, sorry mods! This is one card but I need to show two photos in order to show the card. It is for my cousin who lives here in Jersey, she is 'cat mad', she loves any cat, domestic or big cats. There are fourteen surfaces, all different, seven domestic and seven of big cats.

Needless to say it weighs a ton.

You cannot see it in the scan but the wings stick up a little, and the owl is shiny gold.

Well my beautiful embossed card from Sue arrived today. A huge Thank You Sue you put so much into each card you make. Sad to say I have been rather busy with my 'sick' husband and have not even thought about Christmas cards so no one will be getting any from me this year.

Here's an unusual christmas card I made tonight. The front is part perspex, part cardstock, making a window to see the image on the inside of the card.

My card from Sue arrived and is just gorgeous. Ditto one from Toni which is very clever. I shall take photos at the weekend.

Seeing those boxes reminded me that the other day I covered a box for a gift. A former neighbour asked me where I got my cards with 'Handcraft by *name*' printed on the back as she makes birthday cards. As she doesn't have a computer I printed some cards of various sizes with her name and then with the correct envelopes put them in an old acetate box. As the box had sticky labels which wouldn't come off I thought I would line the lid and base with plain paper the decorate the lid.
