Fairly small train for a special someone (His big brother has already got one!)

A collection of family ephemera, things that were around the house when I was growing up and that I managed to save over the years.

A varied collection of extremely small plastic figurines I happen to have, shown with a dime for comparison...

One P.O'd Spider

I fine-misted a small web I found this morning, thinking to take some shots. The spider, which was in the centre, immediately started to carry the droplets out of her web.. quite the task, as there were many, and she was only the size of a poppy seed. Big job for a such a tiny spider.

In the upsidedown reflection in the droplet, you can clearly see the lawn, hedge, and my neighbour's house, as well as Heidi lying beside her water bucket (the white object lower right of photo).

I'm only used to tiny ants, but this is a MASSIVE bull ant we came across in the outback earlier this year. It was one of hundreds in Coongie Lakes National Park, SA.

VERY cool ant, lily!!!

and speaking of bees.. this honeybee was grabbed from midair (literally) by a female crab spider hiding in my peonies. I had heard "stories" of this sort of thing happening, but never believed it, until I saw it for myself in my own backyard while taking photos of something else entirely...

This little church in Toronto probably just looks small because of the size of its neighbours...

This is Zachary from down the road. He is small enough.

I remember seeing the church too, SpanishLiz. Is it near the ROM?

Zachary is so cute.

That's the one, very close to the ROM, on the other side of Bloor Street.
