Sorry about the stuff up last week, folks. It is the silly season after all!

So this week the theme is Santa ... it can be a person but please try and keep other people in the pic to a minimum. So look around you and find a Santa to share with us!

This is one of two Santas residing in our home. He's about 15 years old, and when he was brought, he had batteries. If you pressed his hand, he repeated everything you said. Needless to say, he soon became battery-less, and is much happier under our tree, silent My other Santa is in Photo of the Day

This is the favorite Santa who's been living at my house. He's a "Fisherman Santa" ! Seeing as how he's a bit short on the traditional holiday colors, and stuff, I let him live in the living room year-round.

Sorry, too . I couldn't get the lighting right ...

The Santa with the candle behind him and the Betty Boop card are also lovely Gats.

Yes ... about that card . I think I showed it before (it's one of my favorites, and will be an annual inclusion on my holiday table as long as I have a table). As many know, I loves me Betty Boop.
The card, though, is the hand-crafted masterpiece from Miss denni19. I think she made it a couple o' years ago.

Here is one of my shelves of Santas that are filled up at this time of year. I seem to have a lot of Santas. The big one plays the saxophone and sings 'Santa Claus is coming'.Many of them perform in some way.
I have a friend who doesn't actually hang up any decorations at Christmas. She has Santas covering surfaces all over. They come from all over the world and look very effective. She even has life size ones standing on the floor.

This Father Christmas is about 50 years old and is looking it's age somewhat. It's hollow and it is a family tradition to fill it with small presents which we hand out after the evening meal on Boxing Day.

I'd be careful if I were you. My son is trying to work out how he can take a photo of you on Christmas eve. He's on the edge of believing and is after some proof.

Knitted Santa doorknob decoration. A vintage family artifact my sister now has. She had it on a set of double door that are normally always open, but I closed them for this shot a couple years ago. Months later, I found it still in place. She decided to leave it there as it was almost in time for the upcoming Christmas.

A set of Santa nesting dolls that come out to decorate each Christmas. I got them for Christmas when I was a child, and have had them ever since!

Those are gorgeous Lizzie. Is that a beer Santa's holding at the New Orleans Cafe? I thought he only drank milk! That's a nice tradition you have, Martin. I like that Santa, very vintage. Cowboy Santa looks like he's ready to rock and roll! All in all some great Santas here. Gats, I must say, your room is looking very festive!

I took this photo last week in the main street of Wollongong (New South Wales, Australia). We were there on holiday. I thought the juxtaposition of Santa and the church was interesting - different aspects of Christmas.

This Santa riding his cat would normally be in my front window, but that place has been claimed by my kitten, Precious (see today's entry in photo a day thread), so Santa has to sit on a side table.
