Decorations, trees, cards, nativity scenes, or whatever else strikes your fancy as long as it says to you "Christmas".

This is the 2009 addition to the North Pole-ish agenda around here this month. His ears light up, his head wiggles ... and he sings "Jingle Bells" at you for endless minutes . Pretty much? The most annoying reindeer to have visited my house, I guess ... but he certainly gets a rise out of my cat after about the second verse .

My first Christmas tree for many years, it isn't very big but it was cheap! My cousin nagged me to get a tree and we went to the garden centre and looked at them and I was horrified at the prices there, no way would I pay that sort of money for something I didn't really want. Then on my way home I called into the local supermarket for some milk and they had a load of these artificial trees at £6.99 and garlands at three for the price of two so here it is.

Here is a Kissing Bush, made from two Hula Hoops. In Mum's day, her family made them of beer barrels. We don't have a Kissing Bush any more, but it still means Christmas to me! I believe it was a Polish tradition originally. The "bush" was made out of crepe paper and decorations were hung on it, as well as fairy lights and chocolates. Any visitors to the house, were allowed to choose a chocolate from the bush.

Jane I have never heard of one of those. It is lovely!
Sue , PLEASE remove at least one of those red abominations. That poor little tree! Don't you have any nice trimmings, little stars and such?

The tree is such rubbish that it needed to be hidden! It is a puny little thing, then what do you expect for £6.99?

Edited to say that I didn't want one anyway, it was my cousin nagging me that made me buy it. Next year it can stay in the box.

I had one of my photographs turned into printed Christmas cards this year - I can't send you all one but here's a digital version... so from me to all you photographers out there, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This house in our neighbourhood was entered into a "Christmas Lights" competition. I wonder what their electricity bill will be like?

Great picture, flopsy. It makes for a beautiful card.

A little Christmas neighborhood my grandson and I made out of cookies, crackers, candy and icing.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I've always had a liking for this nearby house, which has been painted pink as long as I remember!

This is a simple, but beautiful, nativity set that was my mother's before it was mine.

MotherGoose...that's the most elaborate Christmas light display I've seen! Very impressive, I hope the folks who own the home won that Christmas lights competition.

Thanks all these are great! I want to warn you that next weeks theme is "Festive Food," in case you want to get a pic of the turkey and trimmings or even a lovely table setting.

They didn't even make the finals. You should see some of the houses that are entered in the competition. The winner gets $10,000.

Precious wanted to get into the Christmas act along with Santa and his cat, and my tiny little tree.
