The centre of my universe, Finchley Road in Temple Fortune. I worked two blocks down on the left for five years.

This is one of the waterholes around the base of Ayer's Rock (Uluru). As you can see, The Rock is not always the bright red colour that you typically see in pictures. The rock is actually grey-black and the red colouration is a thin crust of iron oxidation. The rock can also acquire a silver colour due to deposition of minerals when it rains.

Another find from the attic. I remember my dad getting very excited about
seeing this on QVC & buying it. A favoUrite car of his, the Mercedes Benz
300SL. This model has great detail, even the steering wheel works!

This is the Wills Memorial Building in Bristol, part of the University of Bristol.
They've just finished restoring the building which is generally considered to be
the last great gothic building to be built in the UK.

Same building as in my previoUs photo, this one taken with a 2 second
exposure to capture the lights of the (invisible) passing traffic.

(Not too much camera shake which isn't bad without a tripod.) smile

I did look, honestly! I found this straight away as Martin had added to it but still didn't see October, but I've been like that all my life...
