What sporting event would you LOVE to go to?

For me I would love to do cricket tours in most of the test playing countries .. especially an Ashes one and an Indian one.

And I'd like to see an Olympics opening ceremony.

And the Tigers win the NRL grand final in 2010.
And 2011.
And 2012.
And so on.

A big night at the Olympics I think like the Cathy Freeman night in Sydney where she ran, Michael Johnson ran and I'm pretty sure the 100m final was held too. THat wouldn't be bad.
I'd love to go to the New York marathon and run it, but I keep breaking down...
In many respects it comes down to who's playing for me, but as a neutral a big soccer final between traditional rivals would be worth seeing. Real vs Barca springs to mind first.

Since I've had a lot of experience in sports photography, my dream is to be on the sidelines for a college football National Championship game, snapping pictures. I'd rather be there than at a Super Bowl or anything else.

As a spectator it would have to be a World Cup final.

A Colorado Rockies World Series game.

Without a doubt, it has to be St Kilda winning an Australian Rules Grand Final at the MCG, preferably against Collingwood.

We have been playing since 1896 and only have one flag, and that was way back in 1966...

A Test Match at Lords would be second on the list.

That's not surprising.

I'd like to see a Rangers postseason game...and series win. They have a great lineup this year that could actually keep from melting down. They are five up on 2nd place, and playing them the next four days...could go up by as many as nine. The last time they even made the postseason was their sweep out by the Yankees...in '99. Even more reason I despise the Yanks...they are 1-9 against any team in the postseason, and 1-9 against the Yanks.

The other three teams have all made or won the final series (Mavs are the only team to make a finals series and not win - I still say they had it taken away...how can you be 6" from a player and foul them...but yet they beat a man down and no foul?).

If my Twins keep playing poorly and miss out on postseason play (or are eliminated at some point if they do make it), I'll be cheering for the Rangers.

With it now being mid-Sept and the Rangers' magic number is eight, they are all but a lock to get into the postseason...go Rangers!

The Twins just swept the White Sox to lower their magic number to 8 as well. Hopefully it'll come down to a Twins v Ranges ALCS. smile

If all the games go like this, and who I want to win the other series...it will be Twins v Rangers. I despise the Yankees...go Twins!
