I wasn't expecting to see snow in Jersey- I thought it was immune there! This picture shows why I haven't been out with the camera for a few days.

An old shed I saw in Virginia.

Thank goodness there's no white stuff here. Snow is pretty, but I don't want to live around it. Sun is out and temp is in the low 70s.

December does not seem to have arrived at my house yet. This is the view from the road behind our village, for people who think Hong Kong is all concrete jungle.

A pretty view Ren, with the greenery and the mountains. Umm - how's the mosquito factor?

Another "brushy" flower. Known as Bottlebrush, it's a Callistemon species. Dear old Dad gave it to me long ago as a struggling twig in a jam tin.
Nowadays it feeds nectar to wattle-birds and white-plumed and New Holland honey-eaters.

How clever of us to come up with a Hat Trick of waterlilies - and all pink!
Just noticed the green frog in your picture, bhs63. Perhaps frogs are the reason Ren doesn't have a mosquito problem.
Lioness, any passing emu would find your plant a tasty meal. Not many emus in Adelaide, though.
Keep those snow photographs coming. They are beautiful and not something I would experience in everyday life.

Yes absolutely. I never thought of that! That river is full of frogs. Very noisy too!

Precious sometimes gets a "time out" in her carrying case, but considering that she often uses it as a cosy play pen, it doesn't work too well as a "naughty chair"!

We have been feeding the wildlife in the garden and put peanuts out for a family of mice that live near the water feature. Due to the snow we put the nuts on a dry patch by the patio doors. Bill , Ben & Fred enjoy watching them dine.

Keep looking as they are worth waiting for. The are huge friendly cats with wonderful temperament that stay kittenish for years
