I suggested this long ago, but it has much more important with this new game. I keep a history of who I played and what the results were in the KO tourney. A history for players in general would be a very helpful feature for this new game. Of course, the data for past games may not have been stored, but keeping the data from now on and making various ways of accessing it available seems to be a reasonable request.

I also asked for a way to find various players in the current KO game. This type of feature will obviously be essential in the new fantasy game.

Unfortunately, it is only info on my games. That is a miniscule amount of data.

I do hope that the second part, a player lookup feature, is something that you will add in some way.

Well I've spent the last few hours building a "Knockout Program", which reads a little like one of those newspapers at a racetrack. The program is created dynamically by algorithms, and each tournament of interest each week will have a program printed for it.


It gives a few potentially useful stats about the players in a tournament, along with some hyped up commentary Should add some fun flavor to it all.

So what's next? Automated dynamic odds calculation on the GC after each set so we can bet our hard earned FT points ?

Ah man can't wait for this! I wonder what the spread is for Prison versus the field?

Will there be a live commentary? "Miffy42 takes the early lead while WesleyCrusher takes position on the rails, closely followed by WorldB and jules44... these four are making the running but oh my goodness, Schoonie had a false start and went the wrong way!"

Perhaps I will do better in this than in the NFL Tipping Comp.

Are all selections to be made before Wednesday rolls around? Or do they have to be made earlier (say 10PM site time) to save computer energy at the end of day?

Wow! It did fail to mention that I'm a Scorpio, who can't dance, is more than a month behind on some Team reports, complains a lot and may have problems covering the point spread.

In the complaining vein: "His/her last victory was on 04-Sep-10 over raidersruleall." should mention "Finals win" or something like that as I did have a Round 1 win last week (23-Nov-10). Also, that I beat Goobas in our last match (28-Jul-10) by the narrow margin of 15 points.

I think that the list "My Mind Melted! Best in Class Daily Crown Leader Monthly Winner: Fill Me In Monthly Winner: Obscurity" needs some additional punctuation for clarity.

This is probably going to sound like a really weird question but please "humour the strange kid"
When will we be able to see which tournaments will be that weeks 'chosen ones' for this? Will it be on Tuesday after the players have been selected, or will it say on Monday "This week's tournaments for Fantasy League will be XYZZZ" before we know which players are in which tournament?
(I appreciate this sounds mad but I would like to know if anyone can enlighten me, please)

Will the results be individual or are you planning a team standings arrangement?

Will kibutzing among teammates be allowed?

1. Individual game.

2. Players on teams cannot share privileged info about their own scores on Tuesday if they are in a selected tournament (ex: "I scored 1000. Don't pick me this week!!!"). Apart from that sort of insider-info cheating, teams can chat about the game as much as they want.

I have now officially spent more time making "The Program" algorithms than I have actually building the entire game

Terry, I hope this doesn't disturb your efforts on the game but I have another question. You have laid out that points will be earned based on the selected player performances. Will there be a badge or bonus points to winners each week, month or at certain point total levels?

I would assume (note, it is an assumption, so I could be TOTALLY off) that it will be like the Wordsmith minigame. You can win up to 105 points in a single week, or 126, if depends on if the +1 point is for each week or for each day... I don't remember. Anyway, since you can win 105 points in a week, I would guess a badge for a cumulative number of 250, and then one for much more, maybe a badgelet for certain achievements, a badge for getting all 7 of your people winning, etc. This game has the potential for a LOT of badges/badgelets/megabadges.
