Patrick Bear has been featured a few times on Funtrivia but he's a ectra special bear, named after a extra special person. Dad died almost four and a half years ago now, and a good friend sent me the most beautiful boquet, as well as a bear. What else could I call him, but after Dad ? smile

awww, Jane. I think I know "somewhat" how you feel. My favourite teddy (which I named Maria for some unknown reason) was given to me by my father when I was 3. 40 years later (and 10 years ago), when he was in palliative care, I returned Maria to keep him company. She had a music box inside her. It played "All Through The Night". She was cremated with him, and while I do not have a picture, I would still like to post the memory.

Teddy Bears are like that . They create a wonderful feeling of comfort like nothing else, I think. Very moving posts Jane and Jakeroo.

This is a very old bear with a friend. He was born around 1920 and now lives in retirement with my daughter.

I have a ton of these. Teddy, my teddy bear, has been everywhere and has many a picture...
This is one of my favourites:

we were in Palm Springs at the time and Teddy, well, let's just say that he wasn't walking straight that evening.

The big fellow at the back, with the specs, is Noel Bear, who used to belong to my late Mum and now lives with me. The little fellow in the blue dressing gown is Teddy (of course) and has been my buddy since I was very small. As Noel never puts Moose down, Winston's Dog and Decoy Duck and possibly others insisted they be in the photo too.
