I'm trying to ID these pictures for a just for fun trivia contest in minnesota. Resources are unlimited so it's okay to get outside help (like yourselves).

43 is kiling me- he is so familiar and I just can't get it.

#15 looks like Canadian actor Martin Short. I don't know what the deal is with the cartoonish mice/rats, though.

Can't be for two reasons, he wasn't a pilot and that's an RAF Hurricane. I'll keep digging. I'll find it.

Got it (I'm almost certain). It's Peter Townsend (Later Group Captain and Princess Margaret's favourite) climbing down from his Hurricane VY-Q after joining 85 Sqdn.

#4 might be little Ricky Arnaz.

I think #16 is Snoopy as the "Masked Marvel"
(Snoopy also had a "don juan" character way back when as well, but I don't think he had a cape lol)

ClaraSue: I think that might be charles manson as well, despite the fact that I can't find a photo online that matches. Something about the eyes I think...

#42 looks an awful lot like Carl Reiner.

Jakeroo: I couldn't find a photo online either, but the eyes, shape of his face, and cheeks look like him.

That #38 looks like Hitler to me (He had prominent cheeks too). Turn of the century garb predates Manson and the letter stitched to the shirt beneath the jacket looks like a German character.

It is a trivialist's nightmare to be presented with a question and to never be told the answer. I agree that the answers should be stated or at least the source of the photo quiz itself be given rather than just the link.

#8 is a bunch of Hobo Symbols. Apparently, these wandering people have their own set of symbols and marks to communicate with each other. The OP probably knows that already, hence the "partially solved" labeling.

OP hasn't been on the main site for over a month, so we may never know . . .

I thought that the symbol on his shirt in #38 maybe stood for Superman, but I see now that there isn't a border surrounding the "S". As for the clothing, I have photos of my mother from the 1940s that look the same. Sure wish we knew the answers.....

Hi all. I'm in the same boat as the OP. It's research for an upcoming contest and we won't know (for certain) the answers until they ask them. Right now it's the info collection phase. The show is on the 2nd full weekend of February each year. If the OP doesn't come back then and post the solutions, I will.
