Thanks Reeshy, I left a message on the other thread about this. I hope no one has too much difficulty. I am sure this has not always happened with Photobuck.

I went out with my camera yesterday and took this one of the bay with the sun shining through the clouds.

A test of the abilities I have been taught by the nice folks at Fun Trivia Forums. My front flowerbed from about Christmas time.

And the continuation around the porch end toward the east. Also to see are my Bouganvilla and my horizontal aluminum pinwheel. Altogether it's 35 feet of Marigolds.(Got to straighten out the edging someday)

Mother Goose/Reeshy: I sent a note off to the Art Gallery of WA a week or so ago. Here's the response I just received:

From: Adrian Griffiths
Subject: Pink Steps
The pink steps are part of a revamp of the Perth Cultural Centre. There is no reason as to the selection other than the designer putting 6 colours together that worked well to create an overall concept for the Cultural Centre. The steps near the Gallery are Pink and Yellow, The State Library steps are Orange and Purple whilst the third set of steps are Red and Green. Throughout the area there are coloured way finding stripes that lead to the central court yard area. Our colour is Pink so if you follow the lines then you can find your way to the front entrances of the buildings. The writing is of no direct input other than sayings like there are 7 colours of the rainbow etc. Near the library for example they have writing relating to books. Along the way finding stripes they will indicate the buildings you are approaching or sugest taking time out to enjoy the Urban Orchard or Native Wetlands.

I hope this gives you an idea of what has taken place at the Perth Cultural Centre

A random shot of suburban Harrow. I've lived in the suburbs all my life so fascinated both with seeing more views of ones I know and others. My favourites here are where Spanishliz is as it looks like the Canadian version of ours, ie a lot more space and straighter roads.

The heron pictures are lovely, and the shots of Spain are making me "homesick", especially as the snow is pretty deep here just now!

The view looking North from my rooftop in Boynton Beach, Florida. One of the only places in the world where a person can get 'snowblind' 365 days a year!

Another pic from the Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center in Phoenix... This is a ringtail cat (although it's actually a member of the raccoon family rather than a cat). The ringtail is Arizona's state mammal.

I showed my grandson the dots inside the foxglove flower.
"Why are there dots, Gran?
"To guide the bees into the flower."
"But why does the flower want the bees to go in Gran?"
By the time he had stopped asking "Why?" I had explained the reproductive cycle of the foxglove.

Reminds me of his mother; while still in nappies she would select a male pumpkin flower and toddle into Dad's vegie patch announcing, "I will powwinate my Poppa's punkins!"

Here's a picture of one of the many zebra we saw while on safari in Tanzania in 2008. This is in Ngorogoro Crater.

Is that a Manx zebra? grin

We adopted a kitten back in October from a rescue (this makes cat number five -- I think I officially qualify for Crazy Cat Lady status). He's supposedly a silver bengal, but I think he's only part bengal -- too many stripes as opposed to spots. But he's a cutie! His name is Lynx.

One of my Ground Orchids. A little faded from the vibrant popsicle orange of a summer bloom. But it's facing the Northwest on my lot and maybe caught a cold? I love the foxglove auntie 1 (can the foxes really fit their paws in there?).

Oh but what a superior snail, Gees. You are right a true poser, with those markings not surprising! They have the look of an ancient vase.

Lynx is gorgeous! What a face smile Love the zebra and the snail, too.

Here, it has been snowing... I don't think I'll be sitting out on my deck for coffee very soon.
