Do you think for the seasonal one we could do ANYTHING related to the time of year? Like, say, this week we might have done something *Pearl Harbor* related, if we'd been a bit stuck for a topic? I'm thinking ahead to like March, where we might not have much "seasonal" (probably only so many St. Patrick's Day lists we can do!)

St. Patrick's Day isn't always the only March holiday...I know of one (outside of Easter) here in Texas.

oh I know, there are always other observances, no matter how minor, in all months.. sometimes the anniversary of a historical event that is really huge is pretty 'seasonal' too though. But fair enough, holidays and observances can come first..

Other than swelter, not a lot here! Maybe barbecue some.

I was thinking in addition to holidays, we could also do "season-themed" topics ~ January would be perfect for winter-themed topics and there'd be a multitude of summer-themed topics.

Oh, yeah. Given the 'seasonal' label, the sky's the limit, right? Like June could bring to mind June brides (among all the other things June brings to mind) ... so some sort of wedding topic would work (preferrably somehow connected to such brides, maybe what they'd wear, where they might honeymoon, and so forth). November needn't be "just" about USA Thanksgiving. The anniversary of the Kennedy assassination could come into play, etc., as well. I'm thinking it should somehow clearly tie into the time-at-hand as to when the topic is posted ... but not so suffocating that it limits a bit o' creativity and/or participation .

Where's our Starfish been lately? Sure is obvious when she's not here posting, lots of threads going unanswered!

Yay! Yes ... welcome back, Starfish . I saw games popping up this (damned cold in Ohio, by the way [brrr]) morning that I'd almost forgotten were still there! Jostled me sensibilities, in a good way, it did!

Just a heads up: those *Change-A-Letter* games will both expire in a couple o' days. Evidently, both have become "two player only" ones ... so I reckon it's OK that they go south. But I thought I'd mention it, anyway.

Another heads up: *A 'Lines With Rhymes' Chain* and *Quoteland - Take Someone Else's Word ...* are so close to the bone yard that the buzzards are swooping. I can save the "Rhymes" one (I wasn't the last poster on it) ... but it's looking pretty dire for "Quoteland" ...

I guess this means we have room for new games, but I haven't been able to think of any.

Ah, that "Categories" one (sigh). Good game ... but it sat idle not only for two weeks, but for four. It got bumped to the top once, then fell down to the basement again. It's a built-in dilemma with games like that: their survival totally depends on if the person who is in charge of the topic ever returns. If they don't, we end up with a string of guesses and no idea if anybody's on the right track. And the whole business just sits there ....

I hope it wasn't me who left the Categories game dangling during my recent forced absence. If so, I apologize.
