Cumulative scores and ranks added. That's great Terry. Any chance of adding something similar for the Word Wizard mini-game?

Terry, on our team we run a little in team competition so the non GMs can play this fun game too. We post our picks on a special Team KO Fantasy thread. In conjunction with that tournament, we also are trying develop a team consensus thread on what we as a team would make as our picks (As an incentive for the nonGMs to play the first game, I've offered them the chance to use my picks in the FT KO Fantasy game). They do the picks, they get the glory (I get the points and badges (he he he) Some are afraid that discussing the 7 tourneys on a team thread may be breaking a rule. I said the only rule we might break is if one of our members was in the tourneys and made a statement about how they did on Tuesday. We avoid that possibility by having a rule that if one of our members is in a chosen Tourney, that's the pick, so we don't need to know how the play went. Concisely: Any problem with teams developing a consensus pick that they all use in the Fantasy pool? Any problem with me or any on our team allowing a non GM to make their Fantasy selections in the GM's name? I do think the in-Team competion has added a little more excitement to the game and (if it's kosher) more teams should try it. __1_1_1_1_PO*1*OL__

Not that my opinion matters, but I personally don't see any problem with it mehaul - especially since your team has made the rule that if one of your team members is playing in one of the selected tournaments, that there is no further discussion.
Also, I think it's a great idea that you get the non-GM folks involved, as it may encourage them to to actually beCOME gold members so that they can get "real" badgelets for their intuitiveness.
And aside from all that, it sounds like your team is having fun, which to me, is the most important part : )
(and yes, I realise you're hoping for an "official" response instead lol).

Mehaul, what do you do if TWO of your team members pop up in the same division?
It is quite rare, but I've seen some divisions in which the same team has two or three players.

It is quite rare, but I've seen some divisions in which the same team has two or three players. This happens on my (relatively small) team quite often. I'd say (arbitrarily) you should simply pick the player higher up (physically) in the ladder - just like if there's a tie. Overall, I think Mehaul's game is a great idea!

The effort is new. Rules are evolving. In the case of two in the same tourney, I see a couple of options (putting on my best Janus face): Arbitrarilly split the picks among the rest of us. Ask for silence and its everyone choose on their own. Submit them to the same analysis methodologies we develop for making choices. Kick one off the team (He He He) Suspend that competition that week.
I think the first is the way to go. The second could end up with one or both being hurt by the support or non support they'll find out about. We don't have a good version of the third example yet. The fourth was meant in humor. The fifth might be necessary for small teams.
And most important in that situation: wish them both the best of luck.

This week's finals are comprised again of 1/3 Favorites to 2/3 Underdogs. The top tourney is again Favorite v Favorite. But this week there are three Underdog v Underdog finals.

This week's finals show a big representation by the Favorites. There are 6 in the champ tourneys! Match-ups are two warm ups bouts with Underdog v Underdog tickets, a Favorite v Favorite ticket (in Tourney 25 the Heavyweight match) and the rest are Favorites against Contenders. Good luck to all and remember, keep the lanes clear outside the West entrance to allow passage of the ambulance.

Male announcer: The red zone has always been for loading and unloading of passengers. There's never stopping in a white zone. Female announcer: Don't you tell me which zone is for loading, and which zone is for stopping!

Why do you set me up like this?! You know I can't resist an Airplane! quote. Ha!
Male announcer: Listen Betty, don't start up with your white zone $hit again. There's just no stopping in a white zone. Female announcer: Oh really, Vernon? Why pretend, we both know perfectly well what this is about. You want me to have an abortion. Male announcer: It's really the only sensible thing to do, if its done safely. Therapeutically there's no danger involved.

I would have backed you if I could, but the system made me pick myself. Congratulations on the underdog win!

Looney_tunes, don't feel bad! I had you in my picks because you normally play very well. It's hard to win in the KO. It must be even harder when the eyes of the whole site are upon you! I imagine I'll probably choke under the pressure the first time my set gets picked for the Fantasy round!

I actually got over 1900 when I lost in the first round, so didn't feel embarassed about my performance, just sad that I came up against someone who was even faster!

In all fairness Looney, you have 185 knockout points, which is a very good consolation prize. Not to mention that you're facing some of the elite knockout artists, as not too many people even have the 200 knockout point badge. I think it'd be much worse to have much fewer knockout points and then score a 1900 in a round and lose.
