P is for plant: Aloe (Please forgive the liberties I've taken with the p is plant. I've waited twenty years for this Aloe to bloom and this popped up the other day)

Edit by mehaul: Thank you for the re-size Sara and Copago.
2nd Edit: The finish to this bloom can be seen in the January "Photo-a-Day" Thread for my entry on Jan 20 (or 20 Jan for those of other dating habits)

P is for Popcorn. This is at a sidewalk sale a couple of summers ago, but popcorn always reminds me of my first ever job, as popcorn girl at a Drive-In Movie Theatre! smile

P is for Paint and P is for Protest.

We have a gorgeous tiny building in one of our bays which is known as The White House, not its real name which is Le Don Hilton. It is owned by the National Trust of Jersey and is one of the most photographed buildings in the island.

The National Trust took it into its head to paint it green for twelve months to draw attention to environmental issues and many people in the island are furious, some have stopped their subscriptions to the NT. I am also very angry about it.

There have been so many people protesting about it that it is almost certainly to be painted white again soon so I thought I would take a few photos whilst it is green.

I like Alliterations too so my P this half fortnight is a Pinwheel Propeller Plane PVC Plaything Produced Purely Per Perishable Potpourri (all the items are recycled: wings and tail are old paint stirrers; the fuselage and post are scrap PVC; the underbelly spring it's mounted on which allows it to flutter in the breeze is a pulldown window blind coil spring; the propeller pinwheel is from the material of that blind; the struts are old tootpicks (may not have been used, I hope); and the paint was from the last drops or some spray paint.

Pity poor Precious, pondering the pain in her pretty paws, caused by the cold in that pale precipitation!

Love seeing pictures of Precious smile And what a great use of alliteration, Liz!

Oh, must say Martin Cube's and Mehaul's alliteration in their sentences was great too grin

Plants, in a bit of a grotty part of the garden. But it does show the sun is creeping back.
