About to take her ball, perhaps? smile

Here, Precious does her meerkat imitation, in an attempt to see over the other side of the snow trench and find out what our neighbour is doing over there. (He was shovelling snow, of course...)

Great shots everybody! I can't wait to check in every morning.

A timely crop, as since the floods they are selling for up to $9 per kilo and may go higher.

Meet Jimmy!

Who would believe that such a picture of innocence could be so destructive. The score so far is FOUR phone chargers, ONE WII connection and a set of headphones. I found some stuff that should keep him away (here's hoping)- it cost $20- I will let you know if it works. smile

That is the problem, Ren. If he eats through the wrong wire he will definitely get the electric shock treatment, but I do not think 240 volts is highly recommended. smile

The stuff I bought is called 'Fooey Ultra-Bitter Spray', and I can vouch for the 'ultra-bitter' bit. I got some on my hand and then on my lips- it tastes vile and you just cannot get rid of that taste. It is not toxic, too. (Thank goodness!)

QB, I sincerely hope that that dog is a girl, otherwise he would be teased dreadfully.

Another Australia Day photo. Prior to the fireworks in the evening, there was an airshow in the afternoon.

This is a very angry little bird!
He is one of the White-plumed Honeyeaters whose territory encompasses my garden.
They had just repelled a small flock of New Holland Honeyeaters which occasionally stage a nectar-gathering raid, leading to a noisy confrontation.
The little warrior was still flying back and forth above my roof on the look-out for enemy stragglers.
I don't speak Honeyeater, but I'm ALMOST sure I heard him say, "and that goes for your cat, too!"

Thank goodness there's you to care for it and that it is in Australia and not near Satguru's last picture. That tree in the right background is screaming like a Honeyeater to have tree surgery performed. All it'll take is a strong wind in the right direction and that double leader is going to split and cause serious damage when it fails. Two options: take out the one rising furthest out from the main trunk and repeatedly treat the wound high in the air or use some threaded 1/2 inch steel rod to rigidly bolt the two leaders in an unmoving relationship to each other (averting a splitting of the crotch). That crotch will someday make a beautiful piece of wood for some furniture maker.

Another Australia Day picture - the police were out in full force to control the crowds of revellers.

You never know where you'll see a Beatles tribute. This was written on the dusty glass wall of my local bus stop this morning.

In case you can't read it, there is a peace sign and below that "J. Lennon 1940-80". It hasn't been there long or I'd have noticed it before.

I love your snowdrops Gees63. As a child, I loved the gardens of my friends' Grannies. My favourites were snowdrops, flowering quince and violets. Lemon verbena was an added bonus.

The Titanic Theatre Restaurant is an up-market eatery in Williamstown.
The proprieter had to jump through hoops to get a permit to instal the funnels and the street furniture because of the heritage overlay on the historic hotel building.

No prize for guessing the theme of the show that is played out during dinner!

One thing I love about these threads is that you can look at a picture and admire it and along comes someone else and sees something you hadn't even noticed. Just like Mehaul and the tree in StaG's pic!

Love the snow Beagle LOL
