I know we had this before but anyway, there is a lot of water in the world, and it rained here a lot lately... Here is The River Cam at Cambridge to kick us off.

This view is from our local state park. Yes, there are alligators about and yes the kids go swimming here!

This is a pond we visited last fall:

(Sorry - I forgot to resize it before. Now it's 640x480.)

This photograph would have been taken not too far from LeoDaVinci's (above), but many years earlier; from memory, sometime in mid 1980's.
It's London Bridge, a rock formation accessible from the Great Ocean Road. The sea that day was unusually calm.
In 1990, the centre span of London Bridge collapsed into the water, leaving some sight-seers isolated on the seaward section. A rather exciting helicopter rescue ensued!

Is it true that one of the couples rescued were caught out with what company they were keeping that day?

You'll have to go all the way to Stoneyfields Park in Edgware for this scene.

The Moira River a couple of days ago. The lilac bushes on the far bank would have shown up better on a sunnier day...

Sorry for posting twice, but I had to respond to auntie1's picture...

I tried to crop it exactly like the 80s version.

I think I may have posted this somewhere before, probably on a Photo-a-day monthly thread, but here it is again, as it's my best water photo that's on Photobucket smile

It's the River Tay in Perth, Scotland.
