Just a thought about Daily Challenges. What about a 1000 level badge/badgelet for those who went beyond the Buccaneer 200. Earn at least 300 in each level, D/M/E, and at least 1 Epic completed for a total of 1000 challenges.

Actually, 300 in each level is 900, plus 1 Epic is 901 not 1,000.

But it's a requirement of AT LEAST 300 in each... That way you cannot win the badge with 1,000 easy challenges and nothing else.

I would say maybe increase it by a lot more than that, though; we went from 20 to 200. I'd say maybe 2,000 total challenges, at least 500 in each.

Thanks s_s, you got my point exactly.
Or maybe 3 Epics with the 300 each.

300 seems so soon after 200. Maybe a mega at 1000 each. Most regulars can get 300 in jut over (or under) a year depending. The other megas take longer.

Yeah, 1,000 may seem good.

But, the other mega badges are at around 500 days, minimum, if you win every day. I'd say 500 each is best. 500, 500, 500, and 5, maybe, for the Megabadge (if you complete all every day, you can reach 500 each in 500 days, but most people will take longer, similar to the other mega badges.)

Just because some of the others take 500 days minimum doesn't mean this one should. I just thought I'd point it out.

True, but the other Megas taking longer was pointed out. If we don't want this one smaller for continuity, I think they should remain about the same as all the other Megas.

Ok, 400 each and 4 Epics, total 1500, and that's my FINAL offer. smile

Sounds very complicated. Let's put those triple-flag repeats to good use and simply ask for 42 epics of any shape and color (You'll get way too many of the other levels along the way anyway). Okay, maybe not 42 smile

Hear hear. Nothing sucks more to get a triple flag again (which has happened to me twice).

At least you're getting epics. wink I'd rather get a third flag again than nothing. :P

I haven't had an epic for quite a while.

(Hmmm, that doesn't sound quite nice, but you know what I mean)

I've completed the "Dogs" challenge yesterday and the badge hasn't been added to my profile yet. Wonder if there's some bug or so going on? Since usually the badges are added automatically within minutes after challenge completion.

The badge was awarded to you yesterday at 2:04 pm server time and I see it on your profile just fine. It may be that you're seeing a cached version of your profile page in your browser. Please make sure to force a reload on the page or clear your browser cache.

An idea for a new badgelet inspired by the Point Precision pair: how about setting a target for a specific number of brains to accumulate over a week or month - no more, no less. It could be called The Brains Trust.

That would be rather frustrating especially for those in the wrong timezones who have almost no control over where they end up in the standings at the end of the day and the price of failure (losing a week or month of work) would be too high.

A more viable longer-term precision target might be to be exactly on a point level boundary (or one point below it) at a change of day. That's within the control of the player although even for that one, it might be quite frustrating for a high level player to overshoot and be stuck with a million before trying again.

Maybe instead of having exactly the point boundaries, set it at regular intervals - end the day on an exact multiple of 100,000 or (if you really want to be harsh) 1,000,000.

Idea for a mini still using the brains called Prime Brain, similar to how the Final Countdown mini is done.

Over a 28 day period end a day with these prime numbers in the brains 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19 and 23. Collecting all these numbers will earn you the mini

Zonko, this still has the same problem - if you're not online at the change of day to fix your position in the rankings, it's almost impossible for a player to control just how many brains they can get because others will score. (This problem actually affects a very large part of our player base - East Coast US has the day change at 1 / 2 am, UK at 6 / 7 am, depending on DST.)

Not denying that fine tuning is a problem. Being in the UK i know the placement in the brains i have at the time when i go to bed will not be the same, as when i check back yesterdays results when i wake up. Just thought that if done over a rolling 28 days similar to the final countdown you could get more chances to hit the required scores.

Or you just get rid of the 28 days all together and just need to get those amounts whenever you get them. Yes still the problem of fine tuning put over a unlimited period of time more doable

No probs anyhow, was just an idea smilee

As a "whenever", it would certainly work. Sooner or later you'd get it if you just put in enough days with decent points.

Just an idea. I know word wizard already has a lot of badges, and this might be considered tedious I suppose, but I quite like the idea of collecting things over time.

Word Wizard: Badge: 12 days of Christmas (echoing the badgelet)

Collect the key words in the song, but collect each word the corresponding number of times. For example, the word 'maid' would have to be collected 8 times, the word 'dove' just twice. Not in order, just over time. It's a bit of a long haul, hence a badge might be suitable.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me..

12 x Drum/mer
11 X Piper
10 x Lord
9 x Lady
8 x Maid
7 x Swan
6 x Geese
5 x Ring
4 x Bird
3 x Hens
2 x Dove
1 x Partridge

Nice idea Chavs, but WW needs words of at least four letters. "Hen" will not do. Maybe "hens"?
