Yes, that's exactly how the other glitch went too. It seemed to be random, not even repeating itself on the same question or quiz. I was blaming my mouse. But Terry fixed it somehow after lots of work, so I thought better to flag up the possibility now in case it is going to be tricky again.☺

(Is it just me or does anyone else keep trying to rate the mash ups? Doh.
Excellent, naturally. :-) )

Hmmm there really shouldnt be anything like this happening. This game uses the EXACT same interface as the regular games.

Please keep a close eye on it and let me know if it was just mouse issues. It should not be working any differently than timed games for quizzes.

Just tried a couple of the Topic Mashes. Quite a bit of fun, and these will encourage me to try some of the categories which I avoid (video games, sports). A good way to spend a few minutes when you don't have a lot of time.

Will Topic Mash quizzes count towards the various badgelets that require a person to play Quiz Game mode?

I'm having the same glitch as Chavs. I don't think it was my mouse though as I'm making sure to click the "Next Question" button once, and nothing again until I click my answer.

Interesting! It appears I was indeed using an old version of the interface there... I switched in the current one. Should be all fixed and working perfectly now?

As to the earlier question, no these will not count towards badges (yet, at least).

Terry:
This is the first time I've ever posted anything to any forum. And, it has taken my addled brain two days to try and find where to put this.
I love the new Topic mash! I think it's a great way to do something more challenging than the other autobot (did I get that right) quizzes. It's far more engaging than a quiz that's designed merely to pile up points.
It's also a terrific way to play the games again that a player might have played years ago.
I hope this goes from "experimental" to permanent.
Thanks for the new challenge!

Yes, all perfect here too, thanks.

As it is listed as experimental, can I put forward ths idea that, in the sub categories, the minimum number of quizzes be raised?

I think at the moment the mash needs 5 quizzes, but I find that means a high percentage of repeats if playing more than one mash up (I might play music, then music a-c, then music Abba) (fine, probably, in that example because there are lots of quizzes, but in a more obscure grouping it matters)...
Just a bit of feedback, not criticism - I am enjoying every bit of it.

I could... but then you're suggesting that no questions at all is better than a small number of questions?

I don't see a reason to change anything right now. There is a small potential for abuse, but I doubt many players will enjoy playing the same questions day after day just for a few hundred points.

Yes.:)

But only because some smallish sub categories have small subcategories which in turn have smaller subcategories etc., and when the pool is that low I get repeat questions, and although that's OK once or twice, over a long time it will get too boring to play those small subcategories, some of which have less than 50 questions to mash. But perhaps more important is that I can play a 5 quiz mash up and get two questions from each quiz, which means that if I go on to play those quizzes then I have already played a fifth of each quiz. Of course, it might not be two questions from each quiz, it might be three or four from one quiz, and that means I have played a quarter of the quiz in question. It also means the mash is less varied. I played one the other day which was virtually all from one quiz maker, who must have made half the quizzes in the subcategory, understandably. smile

To my mind, a slightly larger pool (15, 20) would make for a better quality mash, as well as safeguard the individual quiz from having too many of its questions pulled into the mash, keeping both the unplayed quiz and the mash up mixture fresh.

It might also kick start a process to get each subcategory up to the mash minimum number of quizzes needed.

But...just food for future thought; I realise that other people might not agree.

Love these new quizzes - I can play catagories I did all the quizzes in years ago. A great way to play favourites while still getting some points.

New badgelet idea: Lucky 7, for all 7 KO picks surviving day 1. I know we have a lot of KO minis but thought I'd throw this out there.

The two-week frame for the Library badgelet appears to be implemented as a two-month frame instead.

Having completed the requirements for the Music Set List badge, how about a few more such as a World Set List, Literature titles or Film / TV.

Also as there are major badges for 50 and 100 mini badge, how about a mini badge equivalent for obtaining 50 and 100 major badges.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but I am at a loss as to where to post this question:

How do you get to the Triathalon page from the home page? The only way I have gotten there before is from my Daily Challenges when placing in the Triathalon is one of the challenges.

Thanks!!

I don't remember how I got there the first time, but now I have the location in my Favorites bar.

You can't get there directly from the Home Page but if you go to any of the three hourly games involved there's a link from each of them in the middle panel, three lines above the words "play now".

Thanks looney and flopsy. Yesterday I had a Triathalon Daily Challenge, so I clicked on Yesterday's Challenges, went to the Triathalon page, and added it to my favorites.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

I don't know what people will think of this idea, but thought I would put it in the pot anyway.

What about a new badge in KO called

KO Hat Trick

Very simple all though I think very hard to complete.

Win your KO set 3 weeks on the trot.

How about a badge for winning New Question over all sets like in the Daily Game? Having accomplished this amazing feat this week (even beating daBomb), I was a little disappointed there was no permanent record of it. So it would have to be retroactive, at least for me, since I have little chance of ever doing it again.
