Very sorry all but the rule is one a week except in the Photo a day thread.
Please remove any photo that enfringes this rule. Thanks

"August is Here" (We have a thread for every month. That's the only one where you can post every day)
If every member posted every day in all the threads we would soon be over our band allowance. The rules are clearly stated at the top of the forum.
Thanks.

She told me off last week for posting two days running - I had to remove my photo and post it the following week. smile

I noticed that. I had just composed a little ditty about Sue the mod being faced with quod when the image disappeared. Some people will do anything to avoid my poems. wink

I was thinking of what rhymes with mod and quod and it all got very silly.. quite Dr Seuss in style. Perhaps you could start a poetry thread elsewhere flopsy? wink

Anyway, here's some lichen on a fence in Port Arthur, Tassmania. smile

Sue: the Moon jellies are gorgeous!

Flopsy: Wayyyyyy too cute (the baby llamas). And they so politely lined up and posed for you and everything! Binomial nomenclature aside, I'm beginning to wonder if they don't belong in the porcine group rather than camelids LOL.

Zebra: Wow. Calm day on the Great Gitchi Gumee

Chavs: Adult craneflies are VERY cool - and there is no need for folks to be afraid of them as in that stage they have no moving mouth parts so they can't bite - they only live for a few days, they breed, then die (their larvae do lots of "crop" damage though). People here tend to call them "mosquito hawks" which is a complete misnomer since they eat absolutely nothing.

TizzaB: That's one beautiful photo (Otaga Peninsula). I'm sure it's even more lovely full-sized! (or in person of course).

Pyonir: jealous as usual lol

Szabs: I can't say I've ever seen a lighthouse with that particular style of architecture until now - thanks for posting it!

Sue (again): I can smell that field from here - my favourite herb! (not reliably hardy here, unfortunately, sigh)

Zorba: oh my, old "stomping grounds" for me (well, x-country skiing more accurately). That middle ledge wayyyy up there is the Plain of Six Glaciers. Ended up in hospital with hypothermia and frostbite about 25 years ago, was -45 the day we went up (stupid us LOL). BEAUTIFUL location though, one of my absolute faves!

And oh, besides all the Lovely photos, L is also for Lemur:

Lifesaver.
We were at a local show where Essex Air Ambulance were parked showing people round the helicopter when they got a call to an accident. They had everyone clear of the area and were in the air in under 2 minutes.

Thanks all so much for another successful and exciting two -week -themed thread. I shall close it soon and open a new one called "Doors and Windows and Arches" a favourite subject of mine and thanks to Liz for suggesting it.
