Auntie, I remember my mother bringing home bunches of boronia when it was "in season" and the boronia sellers were selling it on the city streets. I wonder if they still do that?

It's a cymbidium orchid flopsymopsy, and a very pretty one. I had hoped for a good display from mine this year - until I caught one of my chooks who had flown onto the plant stand and was lunching on the choicest buds!

Male swan harvesting water weed and placing it in a pile. Female swan preening and pretending not to notice. I realised I might be interrupting a courtship ritual, so I tiptoed discreetly away. I'll post photos of any cygnets that might ensue.......
