The mulberries are ripening - only a few each day, so I've swathed the tree in bird netting for the duration of harvesting. The CD's swaying in the breeze are supposed to be an added bird deterrent. I'm not really convinced.

I guess it depends which CDs you use. CAT Stevens or The EAGLES would work best. smile

I took some photos of (other peoples) fireworks tonight - it's Guy Fawkes Night in the UK.
I thought this one came out very interestingly, looks almost like some kind of a tree.

That cake is adorable smile I had nothing like that when I was a kid!

Here's a view of South Head, Sydney at the entrance of the harbour at dawn.

Pleasant, but potent - it will be nice as a long drink with soda and ice, or trickled over a citrus sorbet. It's nearly summer here.

Gees, that frosted leaf is stunning! Makes me wish we had frost here.

Here's a pic of Sydney at dawn with the light hitting the skyscrapers.

Gees63, you just caused me to have a flashback! It must have been late 1940's when a similar caravan stopped overnight in a cul-de-sac beside our home in an inner Melbourne suburb. My father supplied water for the horse, and we were invited to inspect the caravan. Quite an adventure!

Another little orchid. This one is a sarcochilus, which I believe is endemic to parts of eastern Australia and some Pacific Islands.

This clock is on the Tower of Christ Church with St Ewen in Bristol. The two figures strike the
quarter hour. It just started raining so wasn't about to wait for them to do their stuff. I doubt
that it would have shown up on a still photo anyway. wink
