The Dutch tag probably came from him appearing on a Dutch stamp. I didn't miss many of these, but a few obviously got past me. Wikipedia calls him a 'religious leader and scholar' as well as an historian. Reading through his entry, I would agree with you that he was more a religious scholar than leader. I corrected his entry. Thanks for catching the error.

That was an accented 'i' that needed to be replaced. I'll check for others like that. Thanks.

I was amused today to have one of the "initials are..." clues today and have two names with those initials among the choices. I'm wondering if this was coincidence or whether Terry did something to the algorithm for the harder sets. (This was in set 22.)

I'm sure it is just a coincidence. I make sure there aren't any cases of 'initials are XX' with the same initials. There are less than 70 'initials are XX' entries in 9100+ total entries, but obviously some initial combinations are common enough to cause possible confusion. I'm afraid we will just have to live with it.

Hopefully, Terry doesn't decide to enhance the difficulty of these.

I had Yuen Biao. The answer said he was from "Honk Kong" and I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be "Hong Kong".

I've got a spelling thingy:

12. British poetess; ctitic
Your answer: Dame Edith Sitwell

I'm sure Dame Edith would object to being called ctitic

I've corrected the Dame Edith Sitwell
entry. Thanks for catching that.

I think that entries used in the game are cached, so changes won't show up until the next game.

Do people like these giveaway questions?

American inventor of the 'Gallup' opinion poll
George Gallup, obviously.

American businesswoman; co-founded the Estee Lauder Co.
Who of the listed but Estee Lauder?

I would prefer:
American inventor of a widely watched opinion poll
American businesswoman; co-founded a cosmetic company

There are several types of 'gimmie' entries in the game. The self-references you cite are one type. There are 150 to 200 of those in 9100+ entries.

Another type is the 'initials are XX'. There are less than 70 of those in the game. I added them to keep some of my 'obscure' favorite entries from being totally deleted. I've missed two of them in game play, so even easy entries can be difficult.

Clergy, Nobles, & Royalty are a larger segment. Many entries in these categories are very obvious.

These entries exist to give players just starting in the game some easy questions. This can backfire if a player thinks there might be a trick to the question.

If you don't like easy questions, play the difficult level. You won't see many easy entries there except for those from the recent database add or edited entries which haven't been rated yet.

Probably my mistake when submitting it (we have a different name for her round here)

Also Laura won't be an MP after Thursday - she isn't standing for re-election.
(I live in the constituency)

There is a question the correct answer to which is "Your answer: Filipino former First Lady; former beauty queen & model; shoe collector"

A female person from The Phillipines is a "Filipina".

I had "Rainer Maria Rilke" and the correct answer said that he was German. However, he was born in Prague, which is in the Czech Republic.

Yes, you're right... but that doesn't make him a Czech. As a result of different Empires expanding and contracting across different countries and hundreds of years, many Germans lived in places we now regard as different countries. Rilke was a German poet who was part of a German family living in Prague when it was in Bohemia which was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire - saying Rilke was a Czech would not be correct.

From yesterday:

"Italian-boen French singer-songwriter; former model; wife of the current French President"

I'm somewhat surprised that none of the 48 players reported this. I've fixed the typo.
