Just over the road you can see the rain we'd had a couple of days earlier

After a couple of lovely warm days, it has turned colder again, and snowed on and off most of the day.

One of the joys of springtime in my part of Australia. Of course we're now entering autumn/fall so these guys are far less active. It's a copperhead snake photographed from a safe distance(!) while we were walking on Phillip Island (at The Nobbies). And yes, they are venomous :-)

I headed towards the Kent border today to mop up the final four old road direction signs in London, and here is one of my favourites, the yellow map, which are now the rarest as more were on major roads and went before the blue local signs we have many more of (I got one today as well).

Great picture Mike, but I think I would have been going in the opposite direction rather quickly!

I didn't know that copperheads were in Australia as well as in the USA.
(And now I see that Wiki tells me of at least four different kinds of snake all called copperhead, all but one venomous)

I called into my friend's vintage clothing and antique store today, and found someone new manning the desk...

A couple of weeks ago someone contacted me and asked if a name and address meant anything to me,it was my grandfather and the address of his shop in Edinburgh. They had a hat brush from the shop which they kindly sent to me. My grandfather died in 1936. This is the brush.

My Dog Dozer. He is looking at fish swimming in a small inlet at our pond. He is just fascinated by them.

Or is Dozer like my sister-in-law's Blue Heeler, who used to bulldoze through everything in his way - people, tables...?

Gees that is amazing to come back to you!

Dozer is short for Bulldozer.(You had it correct Mike) From the time he was born he bulldozed through everything. He is very energetic but very lovable. He believes he is a lap dog and will jump in my lap every now and again. Once even tipping my recliner over!
