My strategy is to play all the games within two hours... So you are bound to get at least one. I thought the reason for games starting at different times was so the server wouldn't overload. It only has a few tasks to do every 15 minutes, instead of a ton of stuff to do on the hour. Which is also why the day ends at like, :53, and not :00, just so the server doesn't fry trying to process it all.

I personally think it'd be more trouble to change the times! Why not just learn when to play them? A few players have given different tips, such as playing within the first half hour, and I think most people could find a way that works for them, but please don't change the times and disrupt things for everyone else!

I personally think it'd be more trouble to change the times! Well said! It was driving me crazy the first few days trying to figure out which ones counted as a set and sobbing because my great Hard didn't match up with my great Easy and Intermediate. But you get used to it and soon don't even need to think about the matchups.

Just to confirm that this is not some Antipodean internet peculiarity... I, too, cannot access the scoreboard today(I'm in the UK).

Bubbatom, this is a US-based site, Terry is located on that side of the pond, and the largest group of members is from the Americas. Please resist the temptation to give in to geographical paranoia - even if they are all out to get us! edited to update information: The scores page is now viewable, at least here in UK.

In all honesty though, it does need to be addressed don't you reckon. No, I don't reckon it does. It is a molehill, not a mountain, and is adequately explained by KayceeKool's theory.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but I was wondering whether as an added incentive to get people playing and rating the New Question game a new badge or mini badge could be rewarded for ranking or playing many questions? Similar to the Quiz rating badge, just with questions on the New Question game. I had another badge idea, but I forgot all about it!

I think below is the thread you want to post on. It is the one where WesleyCrusher is brainstorming ways to increase activity on the NQG. http://www.funtrivia.com/forums/ubbthrea...the_New_#UNREAD

Is it permissible to copy/paste Daaanieeel's post to the other thread? Daaanieeel, check the other thread for any replies.

I just noticed that the number of triathlon points achieved is now listed on the scores page, much appreciated. Maybe it was there before & didn't see it but at least now I can know how many triathlon points I have so far. It will be awhile before I get my Iron Brain but at least I know where I stand. The leaders were always there but not my personal scores. I think it's was added in after the Triathlon started, but it's been there for at least a few days. It's really helpful for me too - with 16 points I'm 3 years off the Iron Brain badge, and might not ever get on the leaderboard.

Or you could just click this link: http://www.funtrivia.com/triboard_cumulative.cfm :P By the way Dagny, your quote didn't work because you didn't put a "]" at the end of "[quote=seadancer".

By the way Dagny, your quote didn't work because you didn't put a "]" at the end of "[quote=seadancer". Thanks. I had tried to just put the question without the whole bit and just made a mess of it, lol.

A quick way of doing a quote is simply to click on Quote (next to Reply at the bottom of each post). Then it is just a matter of deleting the bits that you do not need.

[quote=seadancer Exactly where would I find that place where I can see how many Triathlon Points I have so far? ---Seadancer Go to any of the three games. Click on "Triathlon" (the last item on Team vs Team line). On that page, click on "Scores" (at the end of the Earn 1000 tri points to win the Iron Brain Badge line). Above the Top 200 Box there should be Your Score. [/quote] Thanks Dagny. I followed your directions and after much searching I found my score. Guess what! I have no points yet!

All the points vill be myne, Bwah Ha Ha Bwah Ha Ha. What Igor? You are an Ironbrain infiltrator? That hunchback is just one of Terry's first trial implants. Curses foiled again. I am really sorry to inconvenience anyone, yet I cannot seem to co-ordinate ANYTHING to give me a score that shows on stats board. Is there a chance that someone can simply put the games and necessary times to play so one can see exactly where they're going wrong?
I have been achieving combined scores of 2600-2700 sometimes and getting no points to reflect my effort, so I must be screwing up. I am having terrible problems with my reasoning and psychological skills right now due to medication so please be patient.
Thank you very much. yak

Thank you very much. yak Let's say it is 9:00. Play all the triathlon games then. Let's say it is 9:55. Wait until 10:00 then play all triathlon games. Play between (for instance) 9:00 and 9:30 and you will score. Play between 9:30 and 10:00 and you won't. By the way, are you sure you are (sometimes) achieving scores of 2600-2700? To get 2600 you need to score at least 28/30 over the 3 games if you are very quick.

Mike, let me repost this schedule that shows how not playing in the recommended by Terry time frame of Start:XX:01 to Finish:XX:29 can really work to your disadvantage.
Now we show how two scores within the same hour get counted toward different Awards. Let X be two play/score incidents, one in PoC @ 3:35, the other in Smartest @ 3:55
2:30_ _ _2:45_ _ _3:00_ _ _3:15_ _ _3:30_ _ _3:45_ _ _4:00_ _ _4:15_ _ 4:30_ _ _4:45_ _ _5:00 Piece of Cake _|------Score toward 4: Award-------|_|-X--Score toward 5: Award-----|_|--Score toward 6: Award Mixed 3:Award--|_|-----Score toward 4: Award-----|_|----Score toward 5: Award-----|_|---Score toward 6: Smartest toward 3: Award--|_|----Score toward 4: Award--X--|_|----Score toward 5: Award-----|_|----Score
Note that even though the PoC preceeds the Smartest in time, it is credited toward the next hour's Awards.
This then is a time window to play the games to count toward the 4:00 award in the above schedule ----------------------|_|play-play-play|_|-------------------------------------------------------

mehaul,
Great and complete summary, but I think mayneeyak wanted the simple hard and fast rule for his rounds to qualify. If that is the case, he can always play all three of the triathalon games between :00 on the clock and :30 and all three will count for the same round. So, play in the first half hour of any hour and your scores will go toward getting points.
