Have you checked the tracked referrals? If three addresses are showing up there, copy the link and paste it here and request that the badge be given a kick. That's what it took for me to get the badge. It only takes three.

Surely one should not be posting email addresses here? Security, and all that...

The kick is not immediately effective, but it does work. It took about a week for me to get my badge. Hang in there.

Diplomat Awarded to a player who uses the refer-a-friend feature to refer 3 new players to FunTrivia. In order to ensure the integrity of this badge, each player must play from a different computer. This reward is given out automatically to qualifying players once every 12 hours. http://www.funtrivia.com/challenges.cfm?diplomat We will give you bonus FunTrivia points for each person that signs up from your links and scores at least 1000 points. For example, if 20 people click on your link and 10 join, you will earn 5000 FunTrivia Points. If 4 players sign up from your link (different computers/IPs), regardless of score they reach, you will earn the rare Diplomat badge! http://www.funtrivia.com/linkbonus.cfm There's a post by Terry back in January in this thread, where he seems to confirm that it's three: http://www.funtrivia.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/685568/Diplomat_Badge#Post68556

I could be wrong, but as far as I know you do only need 3, but sometimes the badge doesn't award. It should award within 24 hours at the very latest (and definitely not a week), but it could need a "kick" (and it could take a week before Terry kicks it) as there have been a few complaints. Possibly some code needs to be re-written, and Terry, if you're reading this, you definitely need to change If 4 players sign up from your link to If 3 players sign up from your link

My experience was the same. Three referrals and about a week or ten days before the kick administered the badge. It will come.

This is a pretty buggy badge. I had 2 referrals on my list in early January, but when I checked today, only one was listed. Where did my first one go? They have both been active for over 4 months. I have the email that I sent to each of them. I have a third ready to join and I would like to earn the badge.

That is so strange. I had four referrals sign up in the past two weeks, and they all showed up fine, and the badge was awarded...

You only get credit for the referrals once they have played and earned 1000 points on the site. Perhaps your recruits haven't played enough yet.

Only two of mine have scored 1000. I got credit before any of them scored that much. According to the challenge page you don't get 500 bonus points until they score 1000, but that doesn't have any effect on whether or not you earn the badge as far as I can see.

For some reason I thought the gaining 1000 points was no longer a requirement.

For some reason I thought the gaining 1000 points was no longer a requirement. I'm positive it has, as I have the Ambassador badge, and have multiple referrals who didn't score the 1000 points.
