A couple of weeks ago someone contacted me and asked if a name and address meant anything to me,it was my grandfather and the address of his shop in Edinburgh. They had a hat brush from the shop which they kindly sent to me. My grandfather died in 1936. This is the brush.

My Dog Dozer. He is looking at fish swimming in a small inlet at our pond. He is just fascinated by them.

Or is Dozer like my sister-in-law's Blue Heeler, who used to bulldoze through everything in his way - people, tables...?

Gees that is amazing to come back to you!

Dozer is short for Bulldozer.(You had it correct Mike) From the time he was born he bulldozed through everything. He is very energetic but very lovable. He believes he is a lap dog and will jump in my lap every now and again. Once even tipping my recliner over!

Magnificent! Looks like he was waiting for you!

My walk in the park today was rewarded with the sight of these two.

Where are the point posts, Copago?

A little gentle teasing between the two dominant football codes in Australia - although it's a bit more complicated than that. Soccer is number 2, pretty much everywhere, but #1 could be rugby league as shown in this photo (New South Wales & Queensland) or Aussie Rules Football which dominates in all other states.

Almost didn't make it home before this hit! This is looking westbound on Spring Creek Parkway in Plano, TX.

Beautiful roses, ren! (I was also checking out your bookshelf smile ) That is one angry looking Texas sky, Dave! Satguru, I love your English village and countryside pics!

Today I helped to paint this fence at my sister & brother-in-law's. Then we sat outside to eat dinner. Remember, it is still winter (at least for a few hours) and this is Canada...

Liz, not books, they take up a whole room! That is part of my shamefully large collection of DVD's! Did you also spot part of Sue's card I have it framed , it is so lovely.

Of course, now I can see they are DVDs! I do see that lovely card there too. Framing it was a great idea.

Thanks Liz, and it would be nice to have a garden opening onto a field like that instead of someone else's garden.

Typical houses in Golders Green

I'd never found it before but there's a hill at the local park where you can see in all directions. It was a bit misty today but OK looking this way

This is what greeted me on my drive home tonight. Part of our road has disappeared with the fast snow melt. The right side of the road is mainly now sand with pavement chunks.
As soon as road restrictions are lifted I have been assured it will be fixed.

Liz I love that color for the fencing. Does the fence have a history? Did it get moved from somewhere else and who designed if it is original to the home. Its unique
