Five.
One to put a new bulb in it, one to check it, one to send it back because it's the wrong bulb, one to get the right bulb, the first one to replace it, and another to flick the switch.

You forgot the one who has to move the light bulb from the wrong room into the right room.

Oh, and Terry too to turn the power back on when the bulb blows and knocks out the rest of them.

darksplash, congratulations for getting there at some point. Even if it's not there now, being in the top 25 is quite an amazing achievement!

Darksplash, I think this list is posted once every quarter, so it doesn't track movements in and out of the Top 25 that occur in between postings.

There are some fantastic quizzes there! I was wondering if there was some way of featuring them on the home page, to let newcomers see some of the best we have to offer. I know I can see the top some-number-or-other in each category, but it's a Gold Member feature. Featuring the current top 25 could be an inducement to upgrade for more information. This would apply even for those whose favorite categories aren't among the current top-of-the-tops - seeing what is the most appreciated in that category is interesting.

I've just realised I've short-changed stuthehistoryguy. He has three quizzes in the top 25 at the moment. Sorry, Stu!

The problem with that, Looney, is that they are already played and rated plenty... I have absolutely no idea where on the forums I read this, but it was mentioned that the top quizzes are usually listed first, and thus get even further into the lead... A list of the 25 best quizzes on the site would make players play those quizzes, and probably rate them all excellent, as they are "the best", and those 25 would simply be pushed far beyond reach of any other quiz.

The lower rated quizzes (even sunnies below 10,000) typically are listed on further pages on all the quiz pages, and so they don't get as many plays...

Personally, I do not want to see the top 25 list on the homepage. It would just make the rich richer and the poor poorer, so to speak.

True, they probably wouldn't. :P But they're already at the top, and I look up to them... They've got plenty of recognition. wink

Perhaps the point dg_dave was trying to make is that it is quite an accomplishment to have a quiz remain on this list for a full year, especially with the numbers of high quality quizzes that have been written over the past while?

As for Adam, he appears to be a quiet, humble, modest (and incredibly talented, of course) man. I doubt that "fame" motivated him to write so many quizzes that ended up getting Editor's Choice awards. But if making him a "poster boy" on the home page DID motivate him?? Well then, most of us would be in major trouble and Snowman might have to increase the NUMBER of quizzes that appear on this list (giggles!).
