I like the shading more on the first one, and the colors more on the second one.

I like the leaf on your first one! It gives more depth to the image, but both of them are fantastic anyhow, Sue!

This is a card which I made today.

A crafting friend of mine has a day in March demonstrating in John Lewis in Oxford Street, the demonstrations are a particular brand of sewing notions, they are most well known for their threads. She asked some of us crafters to make her some cards using that brand of thread for display to show the diverse cards we can make using them. I have made a number for her so far and this one was today. The card is 8.25 by 8.25 inches so fairly large.

I got my Mum's sewing machine and it's pretty much brand new. I have to be game enough to use it on paper though. I doubt I'll ever really use it for proper sewing so I might as well just do it

It is hand stitched, takes an age but is fun to do.

It looks great ... I don't have that patience! I did get out the machine tonight and made this card. The stitching gets lost a bit but it was fun to give it a go.

My sister and I went to a crop this evening for the first time in ages, and I actually finished five pages and a few cards! I'm trying to do a few pages covering each month this year, but it isn't turning out to be chronological, which is OK

When I was at th hospital waiting for the dentist to see me I was stitching a card in the waiting area which intrigued the receptionist so when I got home I made this card for her and gave it to her next day. Her name is Wendy, hence the W.
