Yesterday, 3/31/12, our team, "New York State Folks", had 5 or more players for the "Hero" team game. We should have been on the Hero score board among the other teams. However, our team's score doesn't show up on the score board.

Can you fix this? We like to keep track of our rankings each day.

BTW, on April 1 we went from a small team to a medium-sized team (which requires 7 players for the Hero game).
But we should have been given credit as a small team on March 31.

The link to yesterday's Hero game rankings is at:
http://www.funtrivia.com/heroes/teamvsteamyesterday.cfm
Hope the omission can be remedied today before the link isn't available anymore.

Thank you,
Seadancer, team leader of
New York State Folks

Hi Seadancer,

your scores does not appear on that page, but it does appear on your team info page. You have received 39 Hero Points although it falsely shows you as 47th of 48 in the Medium League.

Thus, your monthly results will be correct when I compile TotY scores for March.

Wes

PS: Congratulations on getting promoted to the Medium level - you've done some impressive team building.

Thank you very much, Wes. What does "TotY scores" mean?

Also, can you tell me what our true ranking was so that I can list it at our Message Board's topic (which shows our our Hero rankings for each day)? See that topic here:
http://www.funtrivia.com/bb2.cfm?action=details&qnid=108223&boardid=24291
(especially see Reply #71 which shows 3/31/12 with no ranking score.)

As for our team building, I'm still wondering what spurred our sudden growth. I surmise that we have a very aggressive marketing member among us who probably has networked to find and persuade the new members to join. I only hope that they will stay and play the team games. If they don't stick around and play the team games, we may be at a disadvantage as a medium-sized team (which needs a minimum of 7 players to score in the Heroes game). Ah well, we may have gained at one end and lost at the other. We'll see.
Thanks, again.

It's only in the Heroes and TvT daily that you need more people being a medium team. All the other rankings you can have from zero to seven (I think, it may be 10) players out of the top 200 receive team contribution scores counted toward the monthly standings in the other games WesleyCrusher considers (they are the games listed on your team's info and ranks page.) So. in all those other contests, the more players you field, the better your chances of finishing higher in the rankings.

In the other games, you are at a disadvantage if you don't have enough players scoring high enough to count their scores for the team, because more players can be included for each team. As a small team, up to 7 can count; medium teams can count up to 10 players, so if you only have 7 reliable ones your team total will be consistently lower than that of teams with 10 qualifying players. (Large teams can count up to 15 players, from memory. As a member of a team that has just fallen up to medium, I haven't paid much attention to that end of the scale.)

I cannot give you a 100% reliable answer, but since you had 39 points (i.e. 60% down the list) and usually, the Small league sees between 70 and 80 teams scoring, you'd rank somewhere between 42nd and 50th. Since the game showed you as 47th of 48 (which did not match your played score when comparing to the medium list), I would presume that was your actual place, just mis-displayed as an "of 48" count where it should have been "of 77".

Seadancer, I know you asked WesleyCrusher, but if I may: The Team of the Year rankings is a thread in these Feedback Forums. It is currently on page two of the topics list. A link to it is:
