I'm curious to know if anybody remembers how long it took them to hit the 1,000,000 point mark, and for those with multiple millions, what's the fastest you've done a million?
It took me almost a year and a half to hit the first point, and now i'm on track to hit the second point in 5 or 6 months.
I never thought when i joined the site that i would stay so long and accumulate some many points, it really is addictive, if i don't play every day, i get a trifle antsy, even to the point of having friends ask me trivia questions to keep my mind sharp. Thanks Terry.

Note to Editors, you might as well delete this question,as it does not appear to be one that anybody is interested in answering.:(

I just passed the 9 million mark, but I couldn't tell you how long it took. I've officially been on the site for 4 1/2 years, but didn't start playing regularly until about a year after I joined.

Yes, it's addictive... an inexpensive, mind-expanding high, that I highly recommend to all laugh

If you want to see how long it has taken people to get to a million, go to Challenges, and click on the Point God badge. Click on the number of badges awarded, and it will show the names and dates of the latest awards. You could then check on the names to see when they first joined FT. Then again, it all seems a lot of effort!

I think the first took about 5 years as I was mainly writing quizzes and busy on the forums and chats (including moderating). But with the new quizzes and badge system the second took about two years as did the third. 325,000 from the crystal ball helped no end as well, plus bumped up the brains count.

Being a Gold Member makes a difference too. Out of my 4+ years here I've only been a GM for one 6 month stretch. It's more than likely I accumulated more total points in that 6 months than I have the entire other time I've been a member here (easily over a million in those 6 months).

I had about 10 months for my first million (part of my race towards Centurion before the first FT anniversary), the rest then came slower.

I am kicking myself because I joined the site but didn't start playing until 5 or 6 months later. I think I still hit a million before my first FT birthday though smile How I wish I had known about FT when it first opened up. Then again I might not have ever got anything done in my younger years smile
