I don't now where topost this so feel free to move. Why does it say I have only 47 quizzes left to be saved? I feel this to be unfair. I'm sorry if this seems harsh, but there is a lot more I could be saying right now about this. I will restrain from this until I know the reason why and maybe I will have a better explanation for this than what I'm thinking right now. Plz respond with a a reply soon so I don't go crazy.

This means you've played 54 quizzes, and until you become a gold member, you will not see any more quizzes scored past # 100, however, you can earn other bonus points within the site.

Well, 1st of all quizzical welcome to the site. You're already a step ahead of me from when I joined, I didn't know about the forums or start posting until I was on for about a year. Not trying to push you in any direction but a Gold Membership's only about $36 or so a year, well worth it in my opinion but that's not what you're asking. There are non-gold members on the site with 2, 5, even 10 millions points.
If you look at the home page, you'll see a list of Daily & Hourly games in 2 columns. There are some specifically for Gold Members & that's clearly stated. You can play any of those hourly & daily games for free as long as you want & rack up points to your hearts content. Hope that helps.

Thanks. Right now I'm not interested in upgrading yet. Maybe soon.

It's just the reporting of your scores that stops, they will remain hidden from all. You can keep scoring points and if you become gold, you would then see the previously unreported amounts revealed. Bear in mind this assessment comes from someone who often misses a point and it maybe one of the times a non-admin should refrain from posting but I don't see where above it lets you definitely know that you can play non-gold past the hundred quiz mark (just not any of the Gold games. I do believe any of the half million quizzes are available to you to play), that FT will store your results (just not report them. IOW: you will see how you did in each quiz as you go but you won't see how that impacts your running total) and when you do decide to become gold, the results won't have been lost, they will just be revealed. So, hurry up and get that bag removed in your avatar. We're all anxious to see what a sharp tack looks like. Here in GMland we don't see neat, interesting things too often because all the ads are gone. Join us soon. Did anyone tell you that to enter this city of emeralds, you must dye your hair green? No, they don't tell you that part in the brochures.

Yes, you can continue to play quizzes, but no, you will not score any points on any quizzes past # 100. The only way to score points as a non-gold after 100 quizzes are bonus points and the Global Challenge.

And quiz writing! 2000 points per quiz accepted, and something like 250 points per single question accepted

I think it's 100 points per question, not much, but when you have almost 100 questions accepted like me, it all adds up. Not to mention the 3 badges and 1 minibadge you can earn from it.

Subscribing as a Gold Member has many other benefits, besides being able to score points in regular quizzes. Many challenges have been designed especially for Gold Members, and some games are GM only.

Quiz points are actually a relatively small portion of most peoples' point totals anyway (quiz writing too) - I think dailies/hourlies give most points. Unless you play abnormal amounts of quizzes, of course!

Though the points don't mean a whole lot to me anyway. Badge hunting is more fun when I can be bothered to do it. smile

I agree with all of that.

It depends how often you play the hourlies/dailies, of course. I'd say the dailies give as many points as normal quizzes, but of course you play normal quizzes once and then you have to play a different one. You can play Word Wizard 24 times a day.

Kyle (Kyleisalive) has written roughly 1500 quizzes which equates to 3 million points, but look how many Kickaha (Kickaha49) has got.

Badges are something that take up half your profile. Your total points take up no more than 11 characters, and that's if you have over 10 million points. But then again, two badges come from points.

EDIT: Last bit made barely any sense. Hopefully it will now.

In my first months here, I only played Global Challenge and played quizzes - I never played any of the games at all, because there were so many quizzes to explore! Only when I discovered that I could get pretty badges for playing games did I start taking them, albeit in fits and starts. Then I joined a team, and started playing all the ones that can gain the team points (and Word Wizard for the letters), but after that I go back to what I love best. I'm here for the pleasure, not the points. They're a bonus.

I agree that most of us, if not all of us, are here for the trivia, not the levels and stuff. However, lots of us are "badge tarts" and I'm sure everyone loves the feeling they get when they earn another badge or reach another point milestone.
