"A badge for people who get to Immortal in Hardcore, backdated please. Wesley can have stripes on his. "
Who has earned this? In GC 16, Wesley has kept track, but he noted that those who were in the following positions were Hardcores who had also made it to Immortal: Hardcore Immortals: 6 (in 1st, 4th, 13th, 14th, 18th and 34th overall) The GC 16 results are not on the stats page yet, which is why I can't give you the names. ------------------ GC 15: Slava1616, lones78, magijoh1 (for the second time), rossian (for the second time), and kyleisalive all made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. GC 14: Jules44, mcdubb (for the second time), magijoh1, DomiNeyTor, deaconnblues63, and rossian all made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. GC 13: WesleyCrusher and mcdubb made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. GC 12: Goobas made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. GC 11: Louise17 and kthnos made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. GC 10: hammerdjh made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. GC 9: whee made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. GC?? (ended on July 15, 2007): Incognito101, Triviaballer and WorldB made it to Immortal while playing Hardcore. Sue

How about a badgelet for winning a Knockout round as a Fantasy pick?
The Fantasy 'MVP' Badgelet, in other words.

"A cumulative points badge for fantasy knockout."
Yep, this is needed. How's 3000 points sound?
And what do we want to call this one?
Knockout.... How about Sparked Out, just a different term for knockout

3,000 points for Fantasy sounds good. 500 quizzes? That's an awful lot, more than I could ever get, I think. It may not be a big deal for someone who has done 350 but for a lot of us it becomes a life goal. And some of us don't necessarily have a lot of years left either so some intermediate goals would be appreciated.

May I humbly suggest that...I think we need some more interesting challenges for regular members. Half of the challenges (roughly) are for gold members. Could you, like, give us some more challenges that don't include scoring super high in games or getting a cumulative something?

I solved the first half with just pen and paper, no research needed.
The second half though- I've read about every cipher I can find and have tried a combination of things, but just caan't get anywhere. This is truly evil.
Mind you- IF I ever get this thing figured out, I'll be looking around for the next one. A bit like the treasure really. Once the excitement of winning it wears off, you feel lost. This.^

Could I recommend a badge(let) for the authors who've participated in the Commissions in the Lounge? We're up to our twenty-first commission and more are planned to occur (about one every month and a half/two months). It might encourage more authors to jump outside their comfort zones and new authors to join in. I could hand it out like the race badgelet fairly easily, as they release.

In GC16, the HC immortals were WesleyCrusher (repeat), Slava1616 (repeat), flopsymopsy, strnog1, ghosttowner and bubblesfun I'll deal with the challenge texts tomorrow, it's already 2:45 am here and I prefer to spell them right. Terry: Is there a reason that 24 hrs of Science is only 2400 points while all others are 3000? (Also, while I have your attention - the little code snippet I asked for behind the scenes would be needed by Sunday so we can launch the sprint on the announced date. Thanks )

Could you, like, give us some more challenges that don't include scoring super high in games or getting a cumulative something? Sure, what would you suggest? Maybe a scavenger based on EC quizzes? Play three EC'd quizzes in each category? Also possibly a small version of the teamplay millionaire: Using the personal best daily "top 200" scores for each non-GM game, achieve 700 points or more (that's a 100 average). It's challenging for the average player but probably not too hard to get. The pros will likely make it in one day, others just accumulate a good score here and a good score there until the total makes it over the line.

Buzzy Bee Hunt isn't GM. Yeah, that sounds great, Wes. Maybe something like play tough/ impossible ranked quizzes and score 70% or above.

Then there's all us nerds who had already played almost all of the quizzes in the category, and really had to look around to find some unplayed quizzes to play for this.

Actually, there are a few non-GM scavengers (Quizversity, Amethyst and Topaz, Buzzy Bee). Their quizzes can be played and tracked even by non-GMs so a non-GM can get slightly above 100 scored quizzes by playing these. It would thus be possible - the only question is whether the availability of those extra tracked quizzes would cause a decrease in GM subscriptions, but I wouldn't fear so. There are only 300 EC quizzes out of 110,000 (unless the list is cut off, but even then there are not many more since it goes back to 2004), so even allowing an extra 60 scored games out of this very limited number shouldn't prove too much of an issue - in fact, it may be more motivating for some free members to stay and go gold since many new members reach the free ceiling after only one or two days of play and then are hit with the need to subscribe before they're really ready for it. If we can extend that wall by a few days, it might actually help. (Only Terry would know for sure however) Are you including Newest Mixed Quizzes in this Wes? Definitely not. The mixed quizzes are totally separate from regular ones. My goal was to encourage more early play so that more new quizzes in less favored categories have a chance to get their 20 ratings.

Added a new badge. This one is interesting It was inspired by those movies where you've got people who need to turn keys at exactly the same time to launch a missile. Three Keys: Awarded to a set of 3 players who meet the following requirements: 1. Each of their total scores for a day are at least 5000 points. 2. All three total daily scores are equal. 3. No more than three people score that exact number of points. 4. None of the three people have this badge yet. i.e. if Wes, me, and Loony score 5234 points, and we're the only ones to do it, we each get the badge.
