And there is of course the obvious remark: a day is according to FunTrivia Standard Time. Some trios will have to synchronise different time zones.

To be quite honest, it wasn't too hard. I might have got lucky because I found 2 people with the same score just waiting and hoping that someone would match theirs so they could get the badge. If you can find people going for the badge, then the challenge is exactly the same as point precision with a different number.

Mehaul - it might not be a good idea to post your target so openly. Someone not in your triad might take some inspiration smile

You didn't get lucky. We weren't just waiting and hoping that someone would match our score. It was prearranged with another member of our team that the three of us would go for a particular score. Two of us had got there; before the third arrived, you came along and stopped on the same score. Unfortunately, by that time, we had stopped playing for the day. Our third member opted to carry on scoring, rather than deprive two of us of the badge. I believe you were sent a message about this. Of course it's not too hard if you want to do it that way.

People must hate me then. For the past two days I've had the same score as someone else, and a third person (not even the same one) has gone past the target. So the two of us were left sitting there and no one else joined us. Not that I'm bitter. wink

Since I'm typically not awake around FT 11:50 PM when the scores lock, I just plan to stop at the same total as someone else who seems to be done for the day (and doesn't have the 3 keys yet), then hope a third person stops there. I'll just keep doing that until I win it.

This will probably take a long time since only a tiny handful of players read this forum and NO announcement about this badge has been made anywhere like the News section or the category boards.

I do believe Three Keys is not a Diamond Dome challenge; all the other Diamond Domes I've completed felt much harder. It's just Point Precision with a social component.

I was not quite sure where to put it, but it looked harder to me than Point Precision 2, so I set it one higher than that one.

If we continue to get a lot of winners in the next days, not just the most dedicated ten groups, I will send the entire series down by one grade each. (When Point Precision was initially created, it was much harder to hit due to the Class point bonuses and the lack of a reliable "10 points per question" source.)

Hi Wes,
I'm definitely in agreement with eyhung regarding the difficulty of this cf other Diamond Dome challenges. Three Keys was much easier.

I've no idea how difficult it is to get the badge if you're trying to, but it's a very nice surprise to find it when you weren't expecting it! :-)

I saw two of my team mates who more often then not, finish in the same general area pointwise most days,so i started a flurry of notes with them trying to coordinate our efforts, but alas time ran out, so close... after all, Scarlett said, tommorrow's another day.
I think it will be more sweet to win the Badge with your team.

Based on the feedback (and due to the fact that they have become easier to solve since the original came out), I have shifted both Point Precisions and the Three Keys down by one gem grade. The original Precision is now Emerald, More Precision Sapphire and Three Keys a Ruby.

Does that mean you're taking the Three Keys winners for a Ruby?

Good idea. I didn't want to post yesterday because of the 'jinx' factor, but won it with two teammates. We all agree that the hardest part was not playing for several hours once we were on our number. I'm so used to rushing to the computer for a few quick games that for about eight hours, I was almost afraid to click anywhere in Fun Trivia for fear my mouse would automatically start playing something. crazy

This "looking for two people and trying to match their score" is interesting. I just checked yesterday's scores, and my 5141 (reached totally by chance) put me 30 points behind 2 on 5171, which would have been easily reachable by me if I'd thought of it.

I don't want to start an argument. I'm not going to talk about this after this post.

I received no message apart from one, from someone I assume was a teammate of yours, saying "congratulations, and well done for helping the other 2 out". If I had received a message saying "score some more points, please" I would have done so.

I'm sorry if I ruined someone else's chances of getting a badge.

Ok, so here's the stupid question of the day...

Where can I find this list of people's scores for the day (so I can possibly find some names to contact to try this challenge with)? You'd think after so long here I'd know by now.... smile

How about a badge for the completing all the quizzes from the Amazing Trivia Race?

It has been brought up before, but would be great if it came to fruition.
