Claire Squires died in the London Marathon last weekend, less than a mile from the finish. After her death the donations have poured in for her nominated charity, the Samaritans. Now the donations have reach over one million pounds, in just five days.

Very, very sad, she was by all accounts a wonderful and caring person, who through some personally experienced tragedies has raised quite a lot of money for charity. The donations will make a fitting tribute to her and her memory.

Not quite factual, it is now over £1m but mostly, The Samaritans isn't a mental health charity per se, it is the worldwide one for people in despair and perhaps feeling suicidal.
