11:50 FT time give or take one minute is when scores are being counted (to ensure Brains and all related processing are complete when the reset happens) - the reset itself is a few minutes closer to midnight.

Same here. smile

To be quite honest, it wasn't too hard. I might have got lucky because I found 2 people with the same score just waiting and hoping that someone would match theirs so they could get the badge. If you can find people going for the badge, then the challenge is exactly the same as point precision with a different number.

You didn't get lucky. We weren't just waiting and hoping that someone would match our score. It was prearranged with another member of our team that the three of us would go for a particular score. Two of us had got there; before the third arrived, you came along and stopped on the same score. Unfortunately, by that time, we had stopped playing for the day. Our third member opted to carry on scoring, rather than deprive two of us of the badge. I believe you were sent a message about this. Of course it's not too hard if you want to do it that way.

I don't want to start an argument. I'm not going to talk about this after this post.

I received no message apart from one, from someone I assume was a teammate of yours, saying "congratulations, and well done for helping the other 2 out". If I had received a message saying "score some more points, please" I would have done so.

I'm sorry if I ruined someone else's chances of getting a badge.

You might not take this further AdamM7 but perhaps others should stick up for you! Nor should you be held responsible for the third team member not getting the badge, you weren't told that you were imposing, you were actually congratulated on helping others.

I, with two other people got the badge on the first go, but only two of us belonged to one team but we co-operated with Mike from another team. Thanks Mike! Although we might all live in the same hemisphere, we have time differences and jobs!

If you are going for for this badge then you need to get your act together, and not blame others, but maybe blame a lack of communication between yourselves.

Well done to the player who sent AdamM7 a note of support instead of the brick bats that have been sent to him by dippo.

Well done to AdamM7 for getting the badge smile

Four or more people getting the same score is a potential hazard for this badge. Finding two players with the same score should be the cause of a PM to ask if they have another friend catching up and it probably will be now for people reading this thread. BUT - probably the vast majority of players don't read the forums, some probably aren't even aware of this badge and many don't check the brain page before they sign off for the day. My 'teamlet' got the badge yesterday; we matched our scores with two hours to go. Two of us are from the U.S. and one from Oz so we were in different stages of fatigue and weren't available to make a last-minute change to our scores if we suddenly discovered we had a fourth dance partner.

It would be very frustrating to have to start all over on another day but sometimes things happen for totally innocent reasons.

"Four or more people getting the same score is a potential hazard for this badge."

Yes it is. You need to keep this in mind as a possibility when you go for it.

"If you are going for for this badge then you need to get your act together, and not blame others, but maybe blame a lack of communication between yourselves."

Exactly. That's part of the challenge. If someone else scores the same amount and you don't like it.... well move to another number! Interference, either accidental, random-people-joining-you, or even intentional is a designed twist of this badge.

You didn't think we'd make it easy did you? smile

My intrepid band of Brits went for it yesterday and I'm pretty sure the worst part was the long sleepless night of waiting to see if someone else got there by dumb luck!

24 hours of religion... Hmmm, 1000 points? Haha

I like Wes's quiz writing badgelet ideas. Id like to second his motions.

And super excited for the amazing race badge...

This one is pretty complicated. I didn't realize initially how many stages and things there were! I've thought of a good way to implement it though, so it's in the works.

If the 20 category author badgelets are on the agenda, how about this for images? (Individual details can be changed as I have a layered file, I did swap around things a bit for a better category fit and the background is a public domain NASA image, so no issue there)

http://www.krath.org/authorbadgelets.png

(Of course you'd want these to be the first 20 on the badgelet list just to make people go for the full set smile )

Slight issue with this one - "Legendary" is the moniker used for level 125 specials, so this either needs to be moved to the 125 list or renamed ("Epic"?)

Too funny. One American and two players from England for example. An 8 hour difference where I live. Kind of hard to communicate when two players are asleep.

I happen to be in complete agreement with Dippo here. The odds of two people having the same score, while not scoring anymore, and not having a third player doing their thing, are pretty low. What should have happened was AdamM7 should have sent a note to Dippo or the other player and asked if they needed a third. Not just stroll on by and butt in.

I have a suggestion for a new badge. How about a Mastery Badge for a certain number of points scored in a particular category for those of us that like to take quizzes away from the games. I know that we have the "24 hours of...", but how about like a Masters of Television for those that score ?????? in the Television Category.

Maybe since a lot of the remaining categories are a bit more niche we could combine some of them.
24 hrs. of Miscelleny in which you need to get 3000+3000 pts in two of three categories (Ent., TV, VG) or 2000+2000+2000 in all three.

Hey, thanks for updating the front page to show "215" instead of "198". You may also want to update the Scavenger Hunt page to show the new 24-hour hunts.

And I sure hope Wes's quiz badgelet series is implemented. I wonder how many I qualify for...

Wow! And that whole 1 hour time difference between Dippo, Horadada and AdamM7 really made such a big time difference didn't it? Wonder which one of them was in bed!

One wonders why Dippo and Horadada didn't move off to try again another day, if they were so worried that their other team mate who was sleeping wouldn't get the badge?

What's that I hear? We want the badge? Get real Anton.
