Remember the song "On the Street Where You Live" from "My Fair Lady?"

Well, now technology permits us to see an aerial view of any address anywhere.

ANY ADDRESS - ALL OVER THE WORLD

Much faster than Google Earth. I tried a couple addresses in Scotland and it brought them up really clear.

Now this might scare the heck out of some . . . . it's another bit of the technology in use today.
Is there nowhere to hide ??

After opening the link below, type in the address you want slowly, one letter or number at a time, then pause, letter by letter, space by space, and watch each time where it takes you.

You can hide in front of my house. Just like Google Earth, this doesn't show the part of the street my house is on, even though it shows the rest of the street.

I'm hiding across the road and round the corner from the house shown... but it was pretty fast that's for sure!

It took me right to my apartment building. I put in my parents' address as well and it actually showed the house across the street from them. Seems like it's the exact same pictures as Google Earth/Street view - I can tell because the same truck is parked outside my parents' house on both sites and my car is parked at the neighbours' to make room for the workman's truck!

I just had a look at my workplace and realised that those pictures were taken about three years ago. A couple of buildings have been demolished in the meantime.

Also, there is a strange car in my driveway! smile (No panic, as we have only lived here for less than a year).

When I first started typing in my address it said South Africa, then Pennsylvania, then lower Michigan, and to where I actually live. What is interesting about this is that I have met some people with my unique last name in South Africa, have family in Pennsylvania, and the location in lower michigan my relatives live there.

I had to scroll down to the end of the road to find my place but it was there!

Thanks for sharing the link!

I remember hearing a story of someone using this or a similar search, and seeing her mother sitting on the porch, a couple of months after her mother's death. Like a little trip back in time, for a minute.

I got to my house and was obviously in that day as my car is there in the driveway.

I had to use my mouse to cross the road and turn the corner but it was fast.

"It didn't like my address lol"

I'm not sure the Google Earth car would be able to even find your place!
