I have passed through the first level and want to start the second, but cannot figure out what to do next.

I assume you mean that you have decoded the weird symbol things, but can't figure out what to do with the words/letters beneath them.

That is part of the challenge - I have solved the first half, and have a vague idea what to do in the second, but I'm pretty much stuck.

(By the way, it's a minibadge not a full badge.)

I'm like you AdamM7, I solved the first code very quickly and have worked out what the third cipher is, the problem remains the second one.

And I just cracked the second part (at long long last!) and now can't do the third bit. Terry is cruel laugh This is going to be one of those challenges that is so so satisfying when one finally gets it!

So...what seems to be a clear clue to part three really isn't? How typical of the way things go around here. smile

But wait, maybe Rowena is doing something wrong! Yeah, that's probably it and when the rest of us solve part two, part three will be easy. Won't it?

Well I don't know about "easy" but I went in order, one, two, three (over several months or however long it's been since the code was first introduced) and FINALLY realised I had a bit completely backwards! Turned it round, and there it was laugh Just persevere and try everything (twice!) and you'll get there in the end - methodical is the way to go I think.

Question: Do the "three ciphers" mentioned include the symbols above the letters? I've solved that, and (I believe) the first part of the ciphered letters. However, I'm stuck on the second half of the ciphered letters (if indeed there are only two parts). I have a vague notion of what's going on, but the hint in the symbols' text is going over my head...

Talk about a challenge. This one took the most effort and frustration, even beyond GC Hardcore. LOL, it should be a badge not a badglet. I feel like I should have jumped ten levels.

Not becoming obsessed, are you Salami? If it's any consolation, this is one challenge I cannot work out.

Yes, I was obsessed back when I was still ahead of you, rossian. wink I was a badge tart back when I had 14 badges; the most of any non-gold member. I recall that linkan had 24 badges, miles ahead of all the rest of us.

So I've been obsessed for a very long time. wink

Does anybody else find it "fascinating" that 3 members from The Revenge of the LLamas got the Codebreaker badge in less than 9 hours apart?

Eburge and I shared a vital final collaboration at the very end of the riddle that opened it wide open for the two of us. The close time between us is simply a result of that message.

As for Flopsy, not sure-- coincidence?

There's no embargo on discussing possibilities. Players are asked not to just give the answer away, that's all. In addition, if I saw a member of my team (not the Llamas) had won a particular badge it would act as an incentive to me to have another go myself. The reaction would be 'if they can do it, so can I!'.

I tried very hard to solve that blooming thing when it first came out and I got very close... but no banana. I tried and tried and tried. Then I got a headache from banging my head on the desk and put the blooming thing away. Then Kyle and Ethan got it and I thought "Eh? They got it? Blimey, how hard can it be?" (sorry guys, lol) so I fished my notes out again and it still didn't work. I did the second part again and it still didn't work. The first part of the second part seemed to work but the rest was (expletive deleted). I showed Ethan what I'd done and he told me to go back to the online code solver gizmo I'd used, to look very carefully at what it told me to do, and then do it again. So I did. And got a different result. D'oh! After that, I could work it out. And you know what really irritates me? That I love solving puzzles even though they make me scream, I know that a methodical approach is the best one and if I'd been methodical the first time I'd have broken that blooming code before Ethan was a glint in his father's eye. smile

That's not how our team works, Johnsnow.
Some of the Llamas are competitive and when the youngest on the team got his badge, it inspired others to show they were as smart. Not me, my brain doesn't work that way and I don't enjoy word puzzles.
Where's the fun in cheating? What's the point of behaving unethically for an imaginary badge?

And I have a REAL Duck. Although PDAZ does think I cheated to get that. Duck envy is such a pitiful thing. grin

Whereas I often notice I've won a badge several days later. smile
Truly the Llamas are a team that covers all levels of aquisitiveness and indifference, including duck envy and lack of information-sharing amongst the competitive.
Are you usually so suspicious Johnsnow? Or given to slurs about excellent players and editors?

It's such a long time since I've used that phrase, I'm pretty sure Ethan hadn't been born then, lol.
