Thank so much Ren, thats a very kind thing to say. I love this photography board, such a friendly place. In the monthly threads anything can happen and I've really enjoyed travelling around the world via everyone's photos. And the 2-week themes give a great challenge, fun to join in and fun to watch. Thank you to everyone who shares their interesting photos, and to you for creating the perfect place and atmosphere for that to happen.

I snapped this "large daisy" at a garden centre, full diameter is only about the palm of your hand. I couldn't believe the contrast of colour (plays tricks on my eyes) and intricate centre (golden ratio).


I chose this photo for its subject rather than anything else. Cameras catch nature so you can keep a pretty thing forever & I often look at it and it always makes me smile. And that's why it's my favourite photo. Thanks for giving me the excuse to put it up.

Thank you though I am not sure if I deserve to be here as I have not posted many photos. Having said that, it is still an honour to have people enjoying the photos that I do take. I do not have a favourite photo as they are all special in different ways, either by capturing the beauty of nature or as memories of places I have been, sights I have seen and people I have met. However, I shall head out into the garden to show a lily that seems to appear each year despite my lack of gardening skills...

Gorgeous! I have the same one, but I am sure could never make it look as good as that in a photo!

Thank you for the nomination! I think I started posting photos here when we first started this thread years ago and I tried to be regular, however, a couple of years ago I got fed up with my slow internet signal and just gave up because it would take so long to download a photo. A couple of months ago, I came back and I'm so glad I did (I have better service now) because I am enjoying looking at all the photos once again. It surprised me to go back through Photobucket to select a photo and how many I had there. It was hard choosing just one favorite.

This was taken in Westcliffe, Colorado and I liked it so well that I had it blown up and now it hangs in my house with a few other of my black and white photos.
