Self explanatory really- just what did you see while you were out walking? Or interpreted in another way it could be your new shoes! I am starting it now, but won't close the last one for a few hours.

Not something you see every day when you're walking round. Not even when you're at a country show, which we were when I took this.

Very cute ferret. Can't say I'd want one as a pet though, since a) for "aroma" - they're kinda stinky, b) is for bite and c) can do serious damage to your home

Speaking of odd things on a leash, I'll have to remember to try to get a photo of someone in the neighbourhood who "walks" a tortoise lol.

Ferrets are banned in New Zealand as pets I think after some were realeased into the wild. A great danger to the endangered native & endemic bird life.

Snapped this a couple of years ago in the snow - a cat and a bird had walked the same path (at different times, I presume!)

I saw this van & it struck me as odd that it has a rear windscreen wiper but no rear windscreen!

I was in Stratford (Ontario) yesterday (though not for a play) and had enough time to walk from where we were having a bite to eat by the river to take a pic of the Shakespearean Theatre.

I love seeing what you all see while out and about on foot! I regularly walk my dog along a lonely country lane, through fields of hay, or wheat or corn. A young fawn crossed my path, not 5 yards from where I was standing yesterday, and I often spot a a buzzard, a squirrel, an otter, or some other unexpected beauty. The walk ends 4 km from my home at a dual carriageway, where there's a cheap and nasty little shop where I picked up these little cuties:

Haven't had a chance to get any "on foot" pix yet. It's very hot here (relatively, I mean, for us anyway) and everyone is pretty much hiding out in their basements for this week or running off to shopping malls/movie theatres or just sitting in their cars if they have a/c LOL!

It's kind of amusing at work though. The employees who are normally in "starting block mode" meant for track racing 10 minutes before they're due to clock out are suddenly hanging around and actually doing some real work (giggles).

Haha Jackeroo! I love your ideas on what my little cuties are, but unfortunately no, they are not edible goodies, nor are they mini soaps. They're simply little resin objects, which I thought looked pretty cool. I'll probably use some of them on a cardmaking or scrapbooking project at some stage, but in the meantime I'm going to let them decorate my living room in those little cages.

Christina: Absolutely gorgeous. Honeysuckles that can over-winter here are significantly less exuberant regarding blossoms.

Here's a picture I took while walking through the old ruins of Caesarea in Israel. That's Mrs. DaVinci's foot for comparison. I think it fits the theme perfectly!

Walking downtown this afternoon, in the middle of the road (which was closed for Summerfest) I spotted these two lovelies.

I liked the recent train tracks myself, and the train was a bonus. More so was I couldn't see the view directly but have to hold the camera over the fence and hope for the best, work out which is the right direction to point and take a few in case one turns out good. That was one of my luckiest ones as half the bridges are too high to see over so have to do that each time.

This is the line finally removed in 1970 after closing in 1954 with the remains of a station

On their days off, many bees relax by rock-climbing.
