Christina: those Humboldt penguins are SO cute. I know they look like "clowns" but they're pretty intelligent for birdbrains. We were very lucky to visit the Calgary Zoo quite early in the morning (so no lineups!) this past week to see their newly opened Penguin Plunge exhibit/habitat. I got the impression they were even more curious about "us" LOL.

Thanks Christina

SpanishLiz: I DO hope that wasn't one of your OWN mirrors!

love the horses, Christina!

Mike: am very jealous. Haven't been out of my own hemisphere yet. Excellent photo and
interesting concept that the people are sort of in a cage too lol.

It was. Just jumped off the wall in my downstairs bathroom when nobody (including the cat) was near it. As it broke itself, I choose not to be superstitious about it wink

CmdrK: Haven't checked in this particular thread very recently, but (a delayed) Welcome to you! Hope you'll post more : )

Gees: Fits the song PERfectly. (not that anyone cares, but "daddy long legs" is usually a nickname for a certain spider on this side of the pond. Some folks over here (with the possible exception of the Maritime provinces) are more likely to call the insect in your photo a 'mosquito hawk'. It's actually a crane fly). Cool post Gees!
