BxBarracuda is this week's winner with 6/12 .. and two of those six were solo picks. There were five spoons awarded for scores of 1/12 .. three of those five were firsts for the season.

Another truckload of upsets this round (only 2 of the 12 games had correct picks in double figures), and a truckload of bonus picks @ 19, which is an all-time record for the FLC comp .. LeoDaVinci collected two bonuses to complete that column of the standings.

Between us we had a strike rate of 21.6%, another all-time record - it's the 3rd lowest ever in the FLC comp.

N-Bomb replaces Dizart in 2nd place and once again gtho4 sees his margin out front reduced .. it's now down to just 3½ pts. The three out front are separated by a mere 4 pts. Behind them the next 11 players are also separated by a mere 4 pts (that's just over half the field).

BxBarracuda is, once again, this week's winner with 5/12. In between these back-to-back wins he won last night's UEFA Champions League! Back in the pits, the stewards have double checked the weight of his car as well as the engine under his bonnet and, for good measure, the fuel mixture. He's clean!

Two weeks ago he was running 18th (that's 3rd last). He's now mid-table, in 10th spot.

Another truckload of upsets this round (only 1 of the 12 games had correct picks in double figures) saw Dizart fly into the wall on the back straight. He was towed back to the pits as the car was cactus .. it was undrivable. He collected this week's wooden spoon with 0/12.

This is the 7th occasion a player has scored zilch in the FLC comp. He will also receive the Golden Wood Award at the next FT Hall Of Fame medals ceremony.

Between us we had a strike rate of just 24.1%, another all-time record .. it's the 4th lowest ever in the FLC comp.

Once again gtho4 sees his margin out front reduced .. it's now down to just 2½ pts. The four out front are separated by 7 pts and the next 11 players are separated by a mere 4½ pts.

We have three winners this week - ozzz2002 and George95 climb to their highest position for the season (7th and 8th), and dg_dave is coming off his low point for the season from four weeks ago .. 16th-13th-13th-8th.

By moving up to 3rd place, Sypher has also climbed to his highest position for the season .. on the other hand new low water marks were set by szabs, paper_aero and ren33.

N-Bomb collects this week's wooden spoon and slips back to 3rd place. Dizart recovers from last week's spoon to now occupy 2nd place.

The margin out front is now 4 pts. The next 6 pts cover a dozen players .. the six in 2nd to 7th place are separated by 4 pts and next 6 are separated by a mere ½ pt .. which means we should have more movements in the standings in the next round. The next round is a fortnight away due to FIFA internationals : FLC [ 11 ] Sat 20th October.

Sypher retains 3rd spot, but from there down it was another edition of musical chairs. This will probably continue next week as a mere 3 pts separate the ten players running 7th to 16th (that's half the field).

dg_dave is continuing his climb back up the table, off his low point for the season 5 weeks ago .. 16th-13th-13th-8th-6th.

There were three wooden spoons this week .. two of them, George95 and ozzz2002, were last week's winners.

The next round is mid-week : FLC [ 12 ] Tue 23rd October.

BxBarracuda is back in the winner's circle. It's his 3rd weekly win over the last 5 wks, and sees him climb up seven places to 6th, a new high point for the season.

No change out front but from there down we had yet another game of musical chairs. PaulE replaces Sypher in 3rd spot, which is his new high for the season.

Musical chairs will probably continue next week as a single point separates the three players running 3rd to 5th, and mere 2½ pts separate the next nine players.

dg_dave collected this week's wooden spoon, which halts his climb back up the table over the previous five weeks. Nonetheless, he's still off his low point for the season. On the other hand, LeoDaVinci fell to 19th, a new low point for the season.

Two weeks ago George95, FussBudget and ozzz2002 colleced a wooden spoon each. This week all three are back for another weekly award: George95 and FussBudget collect another wooden spoon each, whereas ozzz2002 is this week's winner .. that's weekly win number four (more than anyone else). He also collected four bonus picks, for yet another appearance in the FLC Record Book.

Dizart retains the lead but is now running solo as gtho4 slips back to 2nd place. No change in 3rd, 4th and 5th place but, for the next eleven players down to 17th, only one player retained their spot from last week. As these eleven are still separated by 5½ pts, we'll probably see another rendition of musical chairs next week.

Dizart scores yet another weekly win to extend his lead out front to 4 pts.

Sypher moves up to 3rd place to equal his high point for the season (he was there 3 weeks ago in week 11).. and he's done this without a weekly win, while dragging two wooden spoons along behind him.

Everyone has now had a weekly win or a wooden spoon except for szabs .. she's still looking for her first weekly award.

Apart from the two out front, just 3 players form there to the rear of the field retained their spot from last week.

This movement should continue next week as the ten players running 6th to 16th are separated by a mere 4½ points; ditto the four at the rear .. they're also separated by 4½ points.

This movement should continue next round (this weekend), as the 15 players running 4th to 18th are separated by just 7 points (down from 9 pts last week).

LeoDaVinci scores his first weekly win for the season which, with two bonus picks, pulls him up from the bottom rung of the ladder.

trev1 collects his 1st wooden spoon for the season. Three players missed the Friday night game but still score a point as a gimme, as all picks lodged were a home win (and the home team won) .. and it was the only game were our picks were identical!

Dizart is still leading the way .. and no change in the first four. The next 10 players are 5 points in arrears; they all swapped positions and will probably do so next week as they're separated by just 4½ pts .. and the next five are separated by a mere 3 points. This leaves wwe84 as the lone ranger at the rear of the field.

It's a full house this week, everyone lodged picks.

No change in the first five, or at rear of the field. In between, from 6th to 19th, only two players kept their spot from last week.

George95 is this week's winner. He climbs up into 6th place, a new high for the season.

Dizart is still leading the way .. he's the first to reach triple figures. LeoDaVinci continues his climb up from the bottom rung of the ladder .. he's now up into 17th place, 5 pts off the bottom.

Last week trev1 collected his 1st wooden spoon for the season. He collects another one this week to make it back-to-back woods.

szabs collects her first spoon and falls to 19th, a new low for the season. This completes the weekly awards; everyone now has a win or a spoon.

Last week szabs collected her first wooden spoon. This week she scores here first weekly win. The other weekly winner was FussBudget (it was also his first win for the season). This leaves just four players without a weekly win; and three without a wooden spoon.

No change in the first four places. George95 climbs up to 5th place, another new high for the season (his 6th last week was a new high as well). On the other hand, ozzz2002 falls to 18th, a new low for the season.

Apart from the first four and the tail-ender, only two players managed to keep their spot from last week. When you look at the FLC results & upsets, this is no surprise- three games were picked by no-one and only three games got into double figures for correct picks.

There will be more musical chairs next round as a mere 4½ pts cover the 7 players placed 5th to 11th, and 4½ pts also cover the next eight running 12th to 2nd last. The next round is mid-week : FLC [ 19 ] Tue 27th Nov.

That's 18 rounds done and dusted. There are 26 left!

We have eight weekly winners and one wooden spoon. Sypher is the debutante, it's his first weekly win; and for FussBudget it's back-to-back wins. For ozzz2002, his third spoon in six weeks sees him falls to 19th, a new low for the season.

Back in Round 11, the first four were Dizart-gtho4-Sypher-PaulE .. and eight weeks later the same four players are still there (3rd and 4th have swapped places since then). George95 retains 5th place from last week .. eight weeks ago he was way down the ladder in 16th place!

The first five plus the tail-ender were the only players to retain their spot from last week .. the other 15 played-out another rendition of musical chairs.

We're now down to three players without a weekly win: paper_aero, illiniman14 and wwe84 .. and three players without a spoon: gtho4, PaulE and srini701.

There will be more musical chairs next round as a mere three points cover the seven players running 5th to 11th (down from 4½ pts last week).

The first four Dizart-gtho4-PaulE-Sypher is unchanged for the 6th straight week. Back in Round 15 these four players were separated by 10 pts and, six weeks later, the spread is still 10 pts. The next 10 pts cover the 12 players running 5th to 16th.

We still have three players without a weekly win: wwe84, paper_aero and illiniman14 .. and three players without a wooden spoon: PaulE ,srini701 and gtho4.
