Can anyone give me a hint on the Riddle? I have searched everything I can think of. I have looked for little links in obscure places. I have looked up and researched "indium" and luna cognate. I know I am probably overthinking and missing the obvious. Can someone at least tell me if I am looking for something? Do I need to complete a series of quizzes? I am not looking for the answer, I am just looking for a hint as to what I should be looking for?

I think it's way too soon (if ever) to be asking for any sort of hints - only 43 people have worked it out so far so you're definately not alone in finding it difficult. I haven't even attempted it yet! I'm presuming that the riddle will tell you what you are looking for so answering your question would end up giving away the answer. Good luck

And let's remember that the riddle will be there as a new challenge for those who join the site in the future - you don't want them to find it all explained, and a 'no brainer' badge.

I'll just give a nonhint: EVERYTHING in this riddle has a meaning. And by that I mean everything including the nothings smile

I found the riddle so much fun, any chance of another one? Even without the badgelet.

Thank you. I am certainly not looking for the answer or even an explanation of the answer. I was just hoping to find out if I need to complete a series of steps or just one step. That is all. I will keep plugging away.

Tatisboy, I understand your frustration. I have 3 or 4 words that do not really make sense. I worked out the 'indium' bit, but 'luna cognate' has me stumped. (So does most of the rest of the verse).

I'm still struggling, too. I assume once you solve it correctly it all becomes crystal clear. I have deduced certain words but they may be completely wrong. But, hey, that's part of the fun, isn't it??

Tatisboy, your question will answer itself once you have decoded enough of the riddle text. Until then, just keep thinking!

Never was much good at cryptic clues so I'm giving this badgelet a miss.

I have the badge and once I had it I realised it was much simpler than I thought. Easy to say in hindsight though wink There is one line in the riddle that is still a complete mystery to me. I can sort of, maybe, find an answer to why that line is significant but I think I'm clutching at straws. Take a deep breath, relax and don't overthink it. laugh

The first line is pretty important, as it tells you about the riddle itself.

I only figured out the first line, but that was enough to snag the badgelet ;-)

After all those days and hours, I almost felt embarrassed when I realized what I had overlooked! Embarrassed but not enough to refuse the badgelet! At least I can sleep tonight.

Well, I'm usually fairly good at cryptic clues but I can't see through this one. I have got over half of the first part (I think) but it doesn't point me anywhere so far. I've sort of given up on it unless I have a sudden flash of inspiration from the blue.

My "me too" went in the wrong place - I can't figure it out. Cryptic crosswords, cryptic clues go straight over my head. Too literal in thinking. So, sniff, goodbye badge. I'll go and chase a mouse instead.

Susan S was not too hard, it is the rest of it that has me stonkered...

I think I've got it all except the main line - and I can't resist trying to figure it out. So much for giving it a miss.

I can do the riddly bit, and know where it leads, I just can't FIND the badgelet lol. I expect it's right under my nose, and hopefully will pop up one day if I keep lurking around "the Spot"... laugh

Once you find it, Row, you'll be like "D'OH!"

Creedy, I was able to work out who Susan S was, but I didn't get how the heck is meant anything, even after finding the badgelet, until someone told me how Susan S worked in to the riddle. :-) I forgot the answer, so I still don't know. Haha.

I reckon those of us who immediately know Susan but not the rest are "of a certain age" lol and showing it :|

That was the only part of the riddle that I immediately got...

I'm still in dark about most of the other parts, though.

Row, does that mean I'm showing my age by NOT knowing the Susan S thing? I had to look it up, and I finally figured out who it was, and the name is familiar, but... ;-) Haha.

navaho56 - You have a headache or it gives you a headache?

Perhaps, someday, we both will gleen the answer.
