Lol of course, TK. I've beta-tested a few games before (Knockout test was fun). Even through all the games Terry has added over the years, this one sounds like the best we've had so far. smile

The only issue I have so far is crosswords. They are one of the only games that can not be played on many mobile devices including phones and iPad. Almost everything else is accessible to all.

Just food for thought: (& please bear in mind that I don't understand the FT coins)

How about if the daily challenges lead to a badgelet - perhaps a badgelet for achieving x amount of FT coins, or X per cent of challenges completed - perhaps a monthly one, so you can win one per month, or a seasonal one, so you can win the summer one, winter one, autumn one and spring one. There might even be two tiers of badgelets, say silver and gold, representing two levels of difficulty.

Bubbles, just because they are not accessible on iPads and pods and phones and such does not mean they can't be challenges anyway. Perhaps it can be set up differently if you cannot physically get to a computer?

Or, when you first click the challenges, it detects if you are on an iPhone or whatever, and does not give you those type of challenges.

Chavs, there will be various awards (badge/let/s) based on these challenges. The system isn't quite in stone yet, but it will be unique and something cool that we haven't done in that form yet.

Terry, I don't suppose you want another guinea pig? I don't know if being a regular member will be different, but if you need another tester, I'd gladly volunteer smile

Triviaking, at this stage, we're good with our testing crew. We might (no guarantees) have a more open prerelease when things are smoother but we still feel it needs a mass test, but right now we don't want anyone unprepared to get entangled in the loose high voltage cables or fall into an unsecured 600' lift shaft.

Actually I could use one more guinea pig, but I require someone of low level.

If you're level 40 or less and would like to test a new challenge feature, let me know (and yes, I will check for multiple accounts. I need to test with someone who is relatively new and isn't such an ace at all our quizzes.)

Well, I'm Level 51, but I would like to help test, and I am relatively new, I think, and definitely not an ace at all your quizzes. I only know specific topics well. I don't fit the criteria completely, but I'll be glad to help if you need another.

Well, at your level, you should be tough enough to deal with a high voltage jolt or two. The falls are more worrisome there. Besides, what else would I use to secure the shafts smile

Play a particular category in the global challenge, and get a minimum score. Can be made harder by making it one of the special categories, or not making it one of the bonus categories.

In one of the hourly games, get a score exactly equal to another person's score. You can make this harder by limiting it to one specific game, or only people in the player's level bracket, or have three or more people try to get the exact same score.

Blitz through an hourly game of 15 questions (say in 40 seconds or under) and do reasonably well, up to a 15/15.

Get an exact score in one of the hourly games.

Earn the greatest number of team points for your team in one of the game types (with minimum requirements for number of players), or earn a certain total amount of team points yourself.

Get a total of 300 or more points in one day from playing the monster quizzes.

Number-wise, get 3, 4, 5, or 6 of a kind in your total point score, and keep it that way for 3, 4, 5, or 6 hours.

Nautilator, could you please explain your last suggestion? I'm afraid I can't grasp the point.

I think he means get like 555 points (3 of a kind) or 1111 points (4) and keep it that way for X hours. I don't like it though because then you have to stop playing for a while.

Having a challenge that depends on other people is a bit dubious - if someone won't complete the challenge unless, say, 3 other members of their team play, I can see that leading to some right ding-dongs if people don't play in time, or don't log in that day... It's not so bad if it's just minimum numbers of players full stop, many of the hourlies and dailies require that anyway, but putting pressure on team mates isn't very fair.

I agree - I think the challenges should be attainable by individuals.

They are supposed to be based on your individual performance, not your reliance on someone else. I have one suggestion in the list that depends on the performance of another player (which is not yet in the game and might never be), but for that one, you prefer the other player to do badly smile
