I like movies that cater for both kids and adults with adult references that kids just won't understand.

What kid's movies have you seen that you enjoyed?

I loved "Up". Probably liked it more than my boy.
I always get a laugh out of anyone saying "squirrel" and staring at something.

But there's lots of movies like The Lion King, Toy Story and Cars are ones I also liked.

Aladdin - Robin Williams as the Genie was AWESOME !!

"Up" is such a great movie. It's up there (ha, no pun intended!) among my list of favorites. Funny thing...my sister and her boyfriend watched it and after the movie was over, he asked "what ever happened to the little boy's friend that they showed at the beginning?" He didn't realize that was Ellie.

My other favorite's are Madagascar, Cars and The Incredibles. As many times as I've seen them, I catch something new and different each time I watch. I love the minds that create movies like these.

"Babe" and "Hugo" should fall into this category as well.

As an adult (so say I) I enjoyed "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". The topic was inane and childish but the technology used to present the images was as intriguing to me as was the tornado scene in "The Wizard of Oz" to the viewers of that era. It made me think a little more about what the topic really was. On the surface it is a tale of a food raining superstorm but on reflection it is a tale of a young person struggling with family expectations and social acceptance, themes an adult can (or should) appreciate. There's also the love angle that may even go over some kids heads but should be considered by the viewing adult.

"Up" was great! Especially the first bit. Good example.

I like Disney's "The Emperor's New Groove" - it's for children obviously but very funny to watch as an adult. I don't think the jokes are throwing in adult references so much as they just appeal to both adult and child equally; they are there just because they are funny. Because of that, I think I've enjoyed watching it with kids more than I've enjoyed other equally as funny films - it's nice when everyone is genuinely laughing at the same joke.

It's a straightforward comedy, with David Spade and Eartha Kitt (and there isn't the usual Disney reliance on songs but when a song does appear, it's Eartha Kitt - and who wouldn't like Eartha Kitt singing?)

I’ve always liked “The Lion King,” “Aladdin” and “Pinocchio.”

I also like some of the movies on Disney Channel, like “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Halloweentown.”

I never found "All Dogs Go To Heaven", "Secret of NIMH", "Dark Crystal",etc., to be kid films. Others may disagree but they all have an adult oriented side to them, to me.

I like a lot of kids' movies, and I thought Wall-E was especially good (with a clear message for adults.)

I also don't see Pinocchio (sp?) or Alice in Wonderland to be kid films. One has excessive alcoholic drinking and smoking, and the other has excessive smoking and references to LSD, and uppers and downers.

I could be wrong.
