Now purchase seems to work again. Went from 4 to 5 to 6 and they stayed...

Two epics in 36 tries - 21st and 36th.

Mine went too, Meathead.

Anyway, I bought some more and it took about 40+ credits to get an Epic - hard to tell how many I bought as my Credits didn't reset.

Looks like epic randomization is working fine then too. Nice.

Over 60 challenges and it doesn't look like there's anything incompatible on the list. Technically given infinite time and skill, I would probably be able to complete them all.

Yes, it's all working rather.... randomly.

Yesterday it took only 3 or four purchases. Today it took 100 credits.... So nobody will get the badge by getting epics with their first 10 purchases. It's perfectly randomly balanced. Randomly.

Can I keep my 9999 credits wink Came back, and wham! 9999. I clearly missed something big. Was that big jump just to have enough to do the check on Epic distribution?

Ok, I have opened up the new Daily Challenges section for anyone who wants to give it a final test run:

http://www.funtrivia.com/dchallenge/

Keep in mind that all scores, challenges will be deleted when we launch it "for real". Also, don't be surprised if challenges appear/disappear as I test stuff out.

Please use this thread to report any problems, bugs, etc!

And a special thanks to the group that helped test everything to this point! Your input has made this game a whole lot better than it would have been otherwise.

Thanks

Terry

Wesley, I have added debugging info beside each challenge so that I can easily track down and fix things that break. If you need to report a bug, the c/u numbers you see there will pinpoint the problem.

I was just going to ask what

"WARNING: This new game is still being tested and scores do not count

Feel free to play around with the challenges, but keep in mind that the game is not active yet. We will delete and reset all scores, etc when the game goes live shortly.

Please report any bugs you notice In This Thread"

was for, but reading the above posts explains it! I'm so excited to start for real! It has been extremely fun testing this out!

Bugs, eh? I've got one I'm pretty sure is a bug...

My Medium challenge currently reads, "Score a cumulative total of points in the hourly game today."

Is there supposed to be a number there? And which hourly game is it?

Edit: Fixed now.

So when it says a cumulative total of 5445 points, does that mean exactly 5445 points, or at least 5445 points?

Dabomb, it means at least. I think it is worded a bit odd, because I at first thought it had to be exact as well.... But upon further inspection one can tell it is at least.

Perhaps a bit of rewording would be nice, though, Terry. smile

Is there a limit to the number of credits you can save or to the number of new challenges I can gain by spending credits?

Also, for the 8 badgelets which aren't listed in the Tower of Challenges:
1) Would I be correct in assuming that after getting an epic but prior to playing it, I'd know what the criteria is for obtaining the badgelet?
2) Are there just 8 epics with each one relating to one of the 8 "hidden" badgelets or are there more than 8 epics?

You can collect as many credits as you want.

You can only buy challenges with credits as long as you have no more than 1 incomplete challenge and enough credits to cover the listed purchase price.

For the badglets:
1. When it shows up in your list, it gives you the requirements.
2. There are 8 flags. 8 epics.

"Score a cumulative total of 5445 points in the Who's the Expert? hourly game today."

"So far: 0 points. Incomplete"

I've played twice today, and I have 2870 total points so far. What gives?

Edit: Fixed. Thanks, Terry! smile

Got an Epic on my 5th buy. Black it is. In 4 hours I should have this...salami knows how... wink

Oh, and retroactive scoring worked great on my QQ Easy challenge.
