I could open the main page, but couldn't access any quizzes. It seem to be better now. I was just curious.

Appears no requests made it to the server for a 15 minute period a little earlier today. Very strange, as the server and database were running just fine, and all of the automated tasks carried out as expected.

Looks like a router at our ISP is playing up or something.

It crashed again a couple of hours ago, which explains my dismal time of 5000+ seconds for GC.

It was only about an hour and a half ago that it happened again. It was taking a very long time to load, and it said it could not connect to the server, as it was taking too long to respond. Other sites worked just fine. It was back up about 10 minutes later.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Yes, Salami's timing is closer. It was about 8.50 p.m. UK time. I checked on one of those 'is it down' sites, which said that the whole site was down. I checked again after the tv programme I wanted to watch had finished (an hour or just over) and it was fine again, but my question set hadn't submitted - hence the dreadful time.

I noticed that the submit button took a few tries--fatal for my GC entries. Only the Brain Twist (untimed) counted for me.

Aah, when you said "a little earlier today", we all misunderstand as several hours prior... Not 45 minutes. :P

Have you diagnosed the problem and found a cure yet? wink

I'm not the problem, I promise! There hasn't been any crazy weather here in the last couple of days, so it can't be that.

Close to Central America though! It has to be the Mayan Calendar at work.

Yes, that message was up for about 15 seconds unintentionally.
